question about these

I understand they put together the fortress with the 3 of them unite

but

1. why were the teague's so interested in them-from season 4 poss, can't remember really the reason?
2. why weren't the other founding members of veritas interested in these as well?
3. how did they know the stones had significance to the traveler?

1. The whole stone thing was with Genevieve Teague only. She had connections to Isobel Theroux (sp?) through that Dutchess Gertrude lady like Lana had connections to Isobel. Genevieve had information on the stones and what they would create because of her link to Dutchess Gertrude and that information was in Genevieve's house. Then she just used Jason to help her achieve her goal.

2. They probably didn't know about the stones or what they were used for.

3. I'm not sure they knew that it had any significance to the traveler.

1.) That was Genevieve Teague's job; to look for the three stones/crystals, and especially after Genevieve found out about Isobel.

2.) Each family/member had their own job in Veritas. Dr. Swann was the founding member and so was just the formal leader, the Teagues was to look for the stones, SINCE Genevieve's ancestors looked for it in the past as well(Gertrude); Luthor was to create some kind of super-army, which is still unspecified why, but that was the priority of Level 3. It's been said that the army was know meant to attack any intruders after the traveler, and Queen's job was the create the weapons for the super-army. Luthor and Queen had a more connected job in Veritas, which could be another reason why Lionel made sure they died.

3.) In Justice & Doom, it was shown that Dr. Swann had some connection to Krypton and found out about the stones and how a Kryptonian from the past, who knew about Krypton's future destruction scattered the three stones so that Kal-El would one day find them.
