I through brainiac attack chloe like he did lana, i through in write up it said clark love ones get hurt cross firer mean lana and chloe. So should have scene chloe and brainiac talking then he scan her see hurt her and kidnap her and fly off somewere. Then knock her in deep sleep. Then his stuff.

Maybe he didn't know where she was. We heard from Jimmy that she was off running around, so maybe Lana was the closest one.

Personally, I'd want at least one of Clark's secret keepers to be alive. Lionel's not getting Clark's trust, Lana's catatonic with the ooze, Kara's gone with Brainiac, and having Chloe gone would just be foolish on the writer's part.

I'm not saying that b/c I'm a Chloe fan, but because I honestly feel that they need one person that Clark can confide in now.

Um....I'm not sure? I think hurting Lana probably did the trick, if he would have taken out Chloe and Lana....Clark would have never let Kara go. But having the hope Lana can come back...he didnt fight it as much as he should have,.

Plus, he needed a power source...and Lana's one woman FBI system she had going probably did the trick. But then I guess one could argue the daily planet surely has a lot of juice! So...I dont know.

He picked who he thought was closer to Clark. It makes sense to use Lana as she would be waiting for Clark at the house, where they both live.

Some of Clark's loved ones where at crossfire. Lana and Kara. Sure Clark loves chloe as his bestfriend but I think Brianiac just wanted to get the person that's closest to his heart. No matter how hard it is for some of you to admit Clark's love for Lana is a great way to get to him.

well obviously cos hurting his girlfriend would make him suffer more. But it also helped that KK isnt able to be here for the rest of the season, so they just added 1+1

Lana is his gf and the easiest way to get to somebody is go after a significant other. Personally i would have went after Martha first but she not on the show anymore.

I think by "loved ones", that meant Lana and Kara.
Clark loves Lana more than anyone, and Kara is his family. Other than Martha, those are probably the two people he loves most right now. Plus, it just adds more that Kara is the only one who can help him defeat Brainiac.
