BrainIAC basically did the same thing to Lana that he did to Dax-Ur. Lana ISN'T dead. Maybe BrainIAC kept Dax-Ur alive somewhere also in a catatonic state.

Nope. Total difference though it looked similar. He withdrew all the information from Dax's mind while with Lana just took control of her body.
