anyone else it was kind of a stretch that oliver was running around as a kid with a bow and quiver? i know they needed to identify who they were, but wouldn't the bright, blond hair do the trick?

Yeah I thought that was a little funny but it got the point across as to who it was so I'll let it go xD

One thing that got me though was, in the "Pilot," Lionel had the newspaper that was on their coffeetable, so it would have been nice to see him grab it. Are we to assume that there was another one on the helicopter? Just thought it might be a slight plot hole but yea...

yea when i saw the paper at first i thought they made a goof cause lex lost his hair around the time paper came out but then lionel said they were going to smallville.

I thought the exact same thing. I was like "take the paper with you!!" lmao. I thought they were going to goof with the timeline too until he said they were going to Smallville. Lionel was really in a good mood with lex in the house, but in the pilot he's very annoyed with him. Could have changed on the ride there though xD

Yeah the bow was a stretch. i was like give us some credit.
With these flashbacks it makes me wish that the writers planned more ahead in season 4. Now it feels like they are trying to tie a story into those plots as if to say these clues were always there.

Also Jim-El 1025 -hilarious avatar!!!

yeah i was wondering why they were all the same age? because the way Patricia talked to Lex he was alot younger than her and thats why he couldn't remember. Also I am assuming the 3 little boy was Jason, so if they had this planned all along why didn't Lex or Jason ever admit to being friends when they were younger?

lex said in this episode he forgot a lot about the past and that was his flashback so it is all coming back to him

jason could of forgotten as well. little kids at that age tend not to remember a whole lot.

Yea, I thought that was a little over the top. Then, the day Lex loses his hair....he is playing with a super hero in a blue suite, with a red cape. And go figure, this one can fly! hahaha. :) I laughed for awhile over that one.

THAT had me chuckling. I have a feeling there's some sort of significance to it, especially with the fact that the newspaper is right underneath it, screaming the headline about the Queens.

According to those little Oliver Queen chronicles, didn't oliver not want to touch the arrows until he found out his parents died? and on that boat?

Tell me if you know what I'm talking about.

I remember seeing the oliver queen chronicles...I think it's possible that either Oliver liked playing with arrows already but when his parents were going on another trip, he didn't want to think about anything else, especially the bow and arrow present that his dad gave him that made it felt like it was a cheap way of not spending time with him

or the producers forget and completely recton that scenario

Lex cant figure out that oliver is the green arrow still after he used to have one on all the time....geez.

I was ok with the bow and arrow.

The flashback scene would have been more awesome IF:

Jane Seymour had been available :(

Oliver and Jason had been called by name

Lionel is a rich man, I bet he could get a new newspaper for his ride to Smallville people, lol. It's not a biggie.

And the newspaper in Lionel's office was probably the one Lex had, because the meteor shower probably destroyed Lionel's helicopter.

How was the bow a stretch? We saw Ollie receive it as a present in the Oliver Queen Chronicles, so it made perfect sense continuity wise.

ETA: Also, it makes sense that Lionel had his own paper in the chopper. These are the Luthors, they have everything they want, where ever they want it. It may sound stupid at first, but considering how Lionel was grooming Lex, it's likely the paper he was reading was actually *his*.

Also: Great Continuity That They Had Them Wear The Same Clothes From The Pilot :)

lol I've mentioned that in a couple of threads, but peeps didn't respond.
Apparently, Ollie was "born" into becoming the GA.

Apparently, Ollie was "born" into becoming the GA.:lol:Somebody once said that Oliver's father made (Oliver's) arrow weapons to use for the Veritas group. Oliver's father created the weapons so that Lionel's supersoldiers (to be created as part of Lionel's obligation to the group) could use them.

Thus, after Oliver's father died, Oliver took the weapons and became the Green Arrow.
Who knows, maybe Oliver's father got the idea to make arrow type weapons because his son liked playing with arrows?

I thought the EXACT same thing when they walked out of the room without it. It would have been NICE to have seen Lionel come back in and grab it real quick.

I disagree with others who say - oh, it could have been another copy in the helicoper because....

If they're going to show the damn thing, they could have at least tied it into the storyline.

well, for starters, 4 year olds don't always remember a whole lot....

ya, that kid (the kid that was supposedly Jason) should have only been like 4, MAYBE 5. But he looked the same age as the rest of the kids.

and I actually thought it was cute that little Ollie was carrying around a bow and arrows. XD
