Whoa, it doesnt look good for the girl we love to love/hate! Brainiac totally took her mind..literally!
What do you think her future will hold??
I'm hoping she'll be saved. Who knows what smallville's version of Lana's future is???? I personally like Lana. Sure she was kinda ehh for a while there but I'm still a fan. Hope Clark can save her!!!

She'll probably just remain in the hospital muttering stuff in Offscreenville. Or Clark might send her to Nell's, so that it would solve any problems of Kristin not appearing.

But Brainiac didn't take her mind...he's controlling her central nervous system...shes fully aware of everything shes doing and everything that is going on around her but she can't do anything about it!
So I think she will come out of this more tramatized then anything. I think this is proabaly the last straw though. After this she might finally realize that she actually didn't know what she was getting into when she chose to come back and be with Clark, and its too much!
this is just IMO ;)

Not forever, but shell be in that state until Brainiac is destroyed at the end of the season, which brings Kristin back for the beginning of Season 8.

Yea, she may say something along the lines of her not wanting to be hurt or cause Clark anymore pain, if she is hurt, so she leaves.

Don't expect to see her until season 8. On SV she's finito, while Kristen is filming her movie in Thailand.;)

My question is what will happen to Lana when Brainiac is destroyed in Apocaplypse and the actress protraying her (Krisitin) is filming in Thailand.

I think this is the end of Lana as a full-time character on SV. Now, obviously, we know KK doesn't plan to be a full time cast member next season so this isn't rocket science. But I think Lana leaves Smallville Ep 1 of next season (coinciding with KK's desires to leave the show as a fulltime cast member) because she realizes that she makes Clark vulnerable and he needs to move on to greater things. I think she shows up periodically next season as a confidante and she may be in peril on occasion and Clark saves her.

She is only going to be in the first 1/3 of the season next year.

The aftermath will probably lead through to the Season FInale, and shell wake up out of it in the Season 8 Premiere, whenever Kirstin returns...

Agreed. She'll wake up, be in the first 8 episodes and leave for the rest of the series. Clark will wrap up loose ends in SV and head off to syndication, leaving the CW crying because he takes their largest viewership for a scripted show with him.

Maybe lana will know something about braniac since she is in connection with him and maybe she'll take him down.

yeah she'll wake up out of the state she's in and end up leaving the last 1st quarter of season 8.
It was sad though tonight seeing her like that.

Yea, thats how I see it going down. Shell be in this state through the Season Finale, and wake up in the Season Premiere. Shell leave saying that she dosent want to bring anymore pain to Clark or seem like a burden. Clark will continue on through the Season 8 Finale/Series Finale, and the CW will go under because all of its viewers, who watch "Smalville," will leave....

OT somewhat, but as SV ends, they should look at "The Daily Planet" as a sequel with ED, Jimmy, a new Perry White and do a semi-canon series about how Lois becomes a world-renown journalist; how she fends for herself before Superman comes on the scene. That part of the mythos, like Smallville years, has never really been fleshed out in the comics either.

it all depends on what other contracts come up in the future maybe she'll return maybe not.
Onward and upward for Clark:D

I would like to see this, and have Supergirl make appearances for, its obvious, a Superman themed/hero/hero in the making show is whats holding down the CW, so with "Smallville" gone after Season 8, whats going to be the CW's big show, "The Game?" "Gossip Girl..." hmm...

Unfortuntly she isn't gone forever, but the next 5 shows should be more enjoyable.

It looks like Lana is in the same place that Chloe's mom was before Lex took her out of it.

I couldn't agree more.
Except for the part about the show getting worse. I definetly see her departure as an improovement.

COMPLETELY AGREE!!! I'm not sure how eager I'll be to watch the show now. With no Kristin in the show, there really isn't any me watching the show....I may watch for Tom...get my weekly dose of eye candy but thats about it! lol

Lanas not gone.
When Brainiac is destroyed, she should come out of it.
If Brainiac is destroyed. I don't want him to be. Lol. I like Brainiac. Hes great, an excellent villain on the show, besides Lex that is. But Brainiac has actually shown his 'evillness', whereas we've been waiting for Lex for seasons now.

lana could not possibly be gone forever because almiles and the writers constantly put her in so many scenes.
The reason lana won't go away is almiles love her more than any other character.

She can experience the world around her, but has no control over her actions, is in excruciating pain and knows that she's being used to hurt Clark...
When she gets back to normal she's going to be insane. I can't see any other possible reaction to that situation (although SV does tend to gloss over the emotional and mental ramifications of events)
suddenly i don't feel like watching smallville anymore :( i want lana back!!!!
i heard she's currently in thailand filming street fighter...i am actually in thailand so i hope that i could bump into kristin around the streets of bangkok! i'm keeping my fingers crossed..:rotfl::rotfl:

For a while I haven't been a fan of lana but the thought of her dying... I don't like it so i guess i'm hoping she survives.

I'm sure Lana will be back to her good old normal self next season, but it'll clearly have to wait.

AMEN! That is the logical result of this dilemma. Lana cannot come out of this ordeal and be normal mentally--or physically for that matter. The internal damage to her body's central nervous system must be extreme and not treatable by present medical science; hence Brainac's comment that only he could reverse it. I'm not a CLana fan. But I felt really sorry for the character after last night's show. This was NOT a good end for Lana.:(

I'm counting on the fact that Clark/Kara will eventually kill brainiac. Then Lana must revert back to her usual self.

thats right she is away filming, so they had to come up with a way for her to be away, and might I say, what a way to go out. it was sooooo sad. I like Lana, and I like Kristin as an actress so I am glad she will be back at somepoint, even if its only for a short time. Atleast to end her part of the story properly and completely. But that end scene was so sad!! I was crying!!
