Season 4: "Sacred" - Lex and Jason are in China seeking a hidden Krypton power stone, while Clark and Lana soon follow.
Season 5: "Cyborg" - Victor Stone, the subject of secret bionic experiments at LuthorCorp, escapes and finds an ally in Clark.
Season 6: "Freak" - A youth blinded by the meteor storm has the power to recognize people with meteor-induced abilities. Among those he identifies: Chloe.
Season 7: "Veritas" - Kara teaches Clark how to fly in order to help prepare him against Brainiac.

Wow, except for "Resurrection," they're all good.

If "Veritas" turns out to be as good as it sounds, though, I don't think it will have any problem becoming number one.

Veritas has to be my pick only becuase as they get later in the series the newer ones seem better. I do have to say that I really liked "Freak"

Freak all the way, but I'll agree it's a good batch of episodes.

They are all good episodes espceccially Freak which was VERY awesome! But veritas looks like it might beat all of them so I will wait!

I'm going to wait till i've seen it entirely. Though at the moment i'm leaning towards "Freak"

I haven't seen Veritas yet, so I'd pick Cyborg as the best of the rest. I just really liked that episode. The ending alone left my jaw dropped wide open.

Having actually seen Veritas, I have to go with Sacred. I'll probably be the only one :p

I thought it was awesome. They went to China! Kind of a cool fight in there between Lana and Clark.

In my second place I'd either choose Veritas for continuity or Nicodemus for some pretty fun scenes.

'Sacred' was so awesome. It was so awesome to take an episode to a new continent and get all wrapped up in an exciting chase.
'Cyborg'- Great episode to introduce Victor Stone. Another one of Lex's questionable experiments was revealed.
'Freak'- obviously an episode that has implications on characters today- especially with Chloe discovering her power, but also Lana got closer to Clark's secret, which plays a role in this season.
'Resurrection'- can't remember too well, but I think I enjoyed it.
'Prodigal'- It was interesting to see Lionel subject Lex to yet another test involving a son who Lionel hadn't even seen for years. It was intriguing to see Lucas foolishly try to turn on Lionel, foiling Lionel's test on Lex, before Lionel and Lex team back together to bring Lucas down.
'Nicodemus'- hated this episode. One of the worst of the series IMO.

What I loved so much about Freak was that Clark used every one of his abilities, that and the acting was great, especially the Clark/Chloe scene in the apartment.

I'm not sure where Veritas fits in yet, I still need to think about it, perhaps watch it again tonight.

Some great episodes there like Nicodemus, Freak and Sacred. Will be tough to beat! I doubt i'll be prefering Veritas since I'm a Lana fan and I don't like what's going to happen to her

Without counting Veritas, which could end up being either awesome or terrible, here would be my list:

Freak--Love love love me some Chloe.
Nicodemus--First good "altered behavior" episode.
Cyborg--After Arthur Curry's ridiculous "bro-ness," Cyborg was a welcome relief.
Sacred--S4 was pretty lousy, but the whole "Lana-Fu in Asia" was campy fun.
Prodigal--It's a pity Lucas was never mentioned again. Like, EVER.
Resurrection--Truth is, I don't even remember this one. Forgettability bottoms out the list.

For me the only real competition it has is Freak and Cyborg. Sacred was alright, as was Nicodemus. Prodigal and Resurrection weren't really my cup of tea. Freak and Cyborg were better than these, but I still think it won't be too hard to beat them considering how much they've kicked all the storylines into overdrive this year.

Veritas definitely beats them all. Great acting, great plot, great mythos, great villain. The only thing I knocked .5 points off for was the lack of trying to fly.

They're all so good. I agree with MidgardDragon about the competition being between "Freak" and "Cyborg". But IMO, tonight's episode was pretty good. It was very serious while popping in those minor jokes (like the ones from Lois/Jimmy). Everybody's acting was great too...even Kristin who didn't have that many lines. But she pulled the catatonic thing off VERY well.

So my vote goes to "Veritas". With "Cyborg" following and then "Freak" directly after.

Veritas by a mile. While many of those episodes were good, few of them advanced the story arc of the season. Veritas not only advanced the story arc of this season, it rolled up many of the plotlines of prior seasons and really made sense of them.

Clearly Veritas. I'm just thankful this episode clarified all of Season 4. Jason Teague, Genevieve, the whole Teague family, witches and magic stones seemed contrived, but now, with the explanation of the Veritas group, it all begins to tie together. This was a very intense episode which strongly advanced the plot threads. It got changed a bit, since it was no longer a finale episode, but the drama was great, good enough to say that Superman isn't just for kids anymore! It's good to see this series is getting stronger, not weaker.

it was between freak and cyborg for me, and I went with Freak, but only because of that scene with Clark and Chloe in the talon when Clark is trying to get that GPS device out of her. That scene was soooooooo intense.

This one was much easier than last episode...best to worst:

1) Season 7: Veritas
2) Season 5: Cyborg
3) Season 1: Nicodemus
4) Season 6: Freak
5) Season 3: Resurrection
6) Season 2: Prodigal
7) Season 4: Sacred

i voted veritas as i think veritas was the best as not really focusing on the past continuity but foreshadowing the future conflict of superman vs lex

as with young lex hearing the veritas group talking about ultimate power, then how lionel wanted to control the traveler before lex was taken to smallville

it gives insight into what drives lex to want to control superman when they finally meet

Just some flaws, kara didn't seem to care at all about defending herself, i was just like wtf the whole time watching her, like why didn't she do anything, fight back or something, her scenes was just like ooooooooook. I also notice, she seem like nervous when touching clark in the barn scene, notice her left eye twitch when clarks turn around. She played it off really good tho haha.

And about clark, he didn't seem to want to fight either. WTF was up with everyone on the show, why the writers made them look like whips, who knows.

Also the story was progressing too fast, lionel acting like a fool saying stuff, but really wasnt getting to the point. The bottom line, not enough action, too many holes, too many unanswer questions, just a very weird episode from traveler which was awesome btw.

3/5.

This Was A Great Episode Mainly Cuz Clark Learns To Fly. Im Suprised He Never Learn To Fly Before Now. I Also Think If He Listen To Jor-el And Not Make Such Flawed Decisions And Took His Destiny To Save The Earth From Evil Then He Would Have Been Able To Take Down Bizarro And Brainac Easily.

Veritas had the potential to be great, rather than pretty darn good, if Clark had actually tried to fly, and if he had at least tried to fight BrianIAC when he was taking Kara away. But I think we have the latter to blame on lack of a budget to produce special effects for a fight.

While Veritas was excellent I have to say I loved Nicodemus more.

The first of the 'altered' stories, it set the way for further ones. Also, c'mon, it had Bo getting frisky with Martha! (actually it was nice to see Jon not being such a stick in the mud, another side to him and all.)

It was also a good potrayel of Pete and one of the first times we really see doubt in Clark about Lex being a good guy.

It had everything, IMO and so it won over Veritas for me.

sorry just noticed this and have to say, how did he learn to fly?

i have problems with the entire concept anyway... flying should be learned like walking is. toddlers lift themselves up, sometimes they end up falling on their arse, but eventually they get the hang of it

while at first i enjoyed the episode for it's base value entertainment, having re watched it and picked up in it's many layers of crap, i now find i've lost my taste for it

i'd actually like to go for either nicodemus or ressurection

i really really liked Clark in ressurection... he was just so engaging
