Sorry, I should have clarified. Blue, White, and Gold appear only in the comics. And, of course, black and silver are form SV. But the red K is from Smallville. (the effect)

Blue K kills bizarros and has no affect on kryptonians. It was once used to reverse red K effects on super friends though.

Wondering how? Well, there really was no gold kryptonite (yet!) It was actually only in "imaginery stories" according to the commentary on the season 2 DVD. (Buy it!)

I voted for green kryptonite because it makes Clark a much more interesting character than if there was none. If you think about it without the green kryptonite Clark would be unstoppable. In my opinion this makes him boring. I think the creators of Superman were geniuses to come up with a weakness like this. When exposed not only does he lose his powers but he becomes much weaker than an ordinary person. This gives us a reason to watch.

Black k. I like seeing how different the 2 sides of Clark and Lex are once they seperate. And I am hoping for a Clark vs. Kal-El war throughout S6 as his training to learn about himself and his powers and to maximize his use of them. Having to battle himself would be the ultimate learning/growing up opportunity for Clark. Losing to his other side would make him humble, yet eager to learn so he can eventually win.

and Black-K is pretty interesting but Red-K is by far the most fun to see and by far the most interesting of all the types of Kryptonite.

Pink Kryptonite: From an alternate timeline in a 2003 Supergirl storyline by Peter David, this bizzare variety of kryptonite apparently turned heterosexual Kryptonians temporarily into homosexuals; it was seen in just one panel, with Superman giving flattering compliments to Jimmy Olsen about his wardrobe and decorative sense. It spoofs the many varieties of kryptonite introduced over the years, as well as the more "innocent times" of the Silver Age. (Lois Lane is depicted in this story as not understanding what's gotten into Superman.) This version of kryptonite has not been used in mainstream comics continuity.
Kryptonite-X or Kryptisium: A form of filtered/purified kryptonite. Professor Emil Hamilton used the term "Kryptonite-X" (The Adventures of Superman #511, April 1994, page 13) to describe the substance that restored Superman's powers after a confrontation with the villain known as the Cyborg Superman in Engine City (Superman (volume 2) #82, part of the "Return of Superman" storyline). This substance was created when the Cyborg used a huge chunk of kryptonite in an attempt to finally kill the weak, powerless, recovering Superman. The Eradicator, who had fashioned a faux-Kryptonian body using a Kryptonian matrix, jumped in front of Superman before the release of the kryptonite energy could kill him. Black Kryptonite: Black kryptonite was first introduced in the Smallville television series, in the fourth season premiere episode "Crusade," as kryptonite with the ability to split the personality of Kryptonians. It later appears in the fourth season episode "Onyx," where it is revealed to physically split the bodies of humans. In the series, black kryptonite can be created by super-heating green kryptonite. It later made its first appearance in a DC comic in September 2005's Supergirl #2, where it apparently possessed the ability to split a person or a person's personality into two separate entities. In Supergirl #3, Luthor used black kryptonite on Supergirl, which caused her to split into two separate people, one wearing Supergirl's traditional costume, and another wearing a black-and-white version. Kryptonite-X or Kryptisium: A form of filtered/purified kryptonite. Professor Emil Hamilton used the term "Kryptonite-X" (The Adventures of Superman #511, April 1994, page 13) to describe the substance that restored Superman's powers after a confrontation with the villain known as the Cyborg Superman in Engine City (Superman (volume 2) #82, part of the "Return of Superman" storyline). This substance was created when the Cyborg used a huge chunk of kryptonite in an attempt to finally kill the weak, powerless, recovering Superman. The Eradicator, who had fashioned a faux-Kryptonian body using a Kryptonian matrix, jumped in front of Superman before the release of the kryptonite energy could kill him. Despite the Eradicator's efforts, the kryptonite energy hit Superman, but instead of killing him, it transferred all of the characteristic Kryptonian powers from the Eradicator to Superman, as well as saturating Superman's body with a purified/filtered form of kryptonite. This substance eventually led to Superman becoming an over-muscled giant, due to his accelerated sunlight absorption and overstorage of energy. This kryptonite is not to be confused with X-Kryptonite.
Black Kryptonite: Black kryptonite was first introduced in the Smallville television series, in the fourth season premiere episode "Crusade," as kryptonite with the ability to split the personality of Kryptonians. It later appears in the fourth season episode "Onyx," where it is revealed to physically split the bodies of humans. In the series, black kryptonite can be created by super-heating green kryptonite. It later made its first appearance in a DC comic in September 2005's Supergirl #2, where it apparently possessed the ability to split a person or a person's personality into two separate entities. In Supergirl #3, Luthor used black kryptonite on Supergirl, which caused her to split into two separate people, one wearing Supergirl's traditional costume, and another wearing a black-and-white version. Her black-and-white costume is similar to the one that Superman was wearing when he returned from the dead. Luthor noted that he was given the black kryptonite by the god Darkseid, who may have been responsible for its creation. (A synthesized version of kryptonite in the feature film Superman III had similar effects on Superman.) In All-Star Superman #4, black kryptonite makes Superman evil, almost as if he is transforming into Bizarro Superman.

Hybrid Kryptonite: In Lois and Clark: The New Adventures of Superman a renegade S.T.A.R. Labs scientist created a "hybrid kryptonite," which has no effect on Kryptonians, but hurts humans. It is green, but rather than being solid, it has a blob-like appearance.

I also want to say that I really hate Green K. The main reason I don't like it is that, in the comics, it makes him extremely weak, but it doesn't remove his invulnerability. So, you can't just kill him by shooting him with Greek K bullets, or that kind of thing. It is supposed to only make him weak, put him in pain, and then eventually kill him via prolonged exposure. So, it irritates me that in Smallville you can just hold Green K near him and then cut his throat. That is the only thing I never liked about Smallville. Otherwise, I love their continuity.

Anyway, Red K is the most fun on the show (though it doesn't work like the comics Red K either; but I don't mind so much, because it isn't as cheap as the Smallville Green K).

Red kryptonite just cause clarks crazy and to be honest he plays a good bad guy.

Blue kryptonite because he can be normal whenever he wants.. so if he wanted to you know what with a girl... just slip on a blue kryptonite ring!
