They are just going to drag out the "What's coming is so terrible" with filler episdoes and then do another type cliffhanger at episode 20 til next season. So predictable. Although I will say that it is because of the strike, they were left scrambling and this was the best they could do.

He needed information I think, probed her brain. Kara kept saying that it was her fault that he went after Lana though. I think Brainiac wouldn't have needed to go after Lana for information if Kara had gone with him at the beginning.

BTW, i liked this Ep. I've always been a fan of Clana and it made me sad to watch this.
Plus, you guys need to remember that this was going to be final Ep for the Season because of the Writer's strike. If it was, they probably would have shown Clark flying, but since its not the final, then they had a lot of editing to do.

In terms of how they showed her going.. it showed Chloe coming into the hospital room, she saw Clark crying and his head is layed down in Lana's lap.. He is kneeling on the floor and sobbing into her lap. Chloe started crying as well.

The last shot panned over from a far distance, showing a shadow of Lana/Clark's figure, with light stemming from the window.

For what I read on this thread it's a very solid episode, building up a conflict between Lex and Lionel and building up a big danger. If the black hole is a Boom Tube, then Hell is about to be literally unleashed on Earth and Lionel is right about his warning.

And, how, remember, although this episode was supposed to be the final episode, it is not and some parts of it moved to Descent and more.

I agree with this, Lionel on his knees begging for Chloe to listen to him. Poor man I felt sorry for him, nobody would listen, he sounded so desperate, a broken man.

I think the explanation was that Brainiac was using her to write a message to Clark/Kara. He controls all of her functions so he made her write where to meet him.

Yes her eyes were white and the symbols said deliver kara...to the top of the daily planet. it might just have been the deliver kara part though

They are building up this Lionel for a reason. Everything he constructed is crumbling up. Clark doesn't believe him, Lex is taking over everything his father's group ever did. I think a lot of people are overlooking the great continuity we got in this episode. Lex's childhood flashbacks were well done. They even showed that newspaper Lionel was reading on the helicopter in the Pilot. Everything is coming together really nicely.

Well in the opening scene in the barn, Brainiac looked at Kara's bracelet before he told her that he needed her. Not sure if that means anything, but the camera stayed on it for a couple of seconds. Guess we have to wait and see.

Exactly. If this was going to be the season finale, Clark would've flown at least once and there would've been a great battle between Clark and Brainiac AND Lex would've killed Lionel.

Excpect the death scene in "Descent" and possibly Clark might fly in that episode OR in "Apocalypse", where Brainiac and Kara will be there, and one can hope Martian Manhunter is there to be on Clark's side.
