View Full Version : Why lana wasn't in the FOS?

The writers are always sabotaging Lana in favor of Chloe.. It's more than clear it. It makes no logical sense why she wasn't in the FOS. AlMiles hates her! They loves their creation, Chloe "miss perfection" , and hates Lana. What happened in traveler is not new. Lana has always been forgotten by Almiles. When the spoilers revealed that there would be some "girl power" in Traveler.. I actually expected to see some girl power with all three girls breaking into the facility that has Clark captive....trying to rescue him. I'm use to being disappointed when it comes to this show. I'm never surprised when it actually happens. Lana is Clark's girlfriend.. is more sense she's there than another person.
Almiles have cross the line with chloe character. I'm sure that KK not sign up for a full season 8 has to have something to with the lack of consideration that the writers have with her character over the years.
KK deserve better things than SV.

I think it's because if Chloe had given her "I love your son" speech in front of Lana, Jor El would have had to break up a cat fight. But then again if Lana was in the scene, as Clark's gf I would think she would have been the one to plead with Jor El.

I feel your pain in regards to where did Lana go in this episode, but your argument is kind of funny to me, bc most of the time that is the way I feel the writers treat the other characters in comparison to Lana. I think Al and Miles obsess over Lana more than Clark does...and that's not exactly a good thing.

I'm a huge Lana fan, but its obvious why it was Chloe up there, she'd been there before and knew how to get there, and Kara had to go with her. Only 2 people are allowed to the FOS at the same time. She did her part in getting Kara out of the mansion, so essentially without her Kara wouldnt have her memory and Clark would be dead, i'm sure Clark appreciated her help offscreen.

I do agree the writers have messed up her character for most people, and Kristin is probably unsatisfied.

AlMiles hate Lana? Have we been watching the same show? Over the holidays I watching the Season 3 DVD, and on the commentary that constantly were commenting on how beautiful Kristin Kreuk was.

Only 2 people are allowed to the FOS at the same time.

Is that a fact? When was that said? I don't remember anything like that. What about "Blue"? Or does the 2 person rule only apply to humans?

I think Lana has been really interesting to watch this season. I don't think the writers have messed her up at all. She's a complex character and I believe all actors like to play complex characters. It has nothing to do with being a good character or a bad character. I thought Lana was the one to watch in Persona. The Biz/Lana, Biz/Clark/Lana scenes were the best. Her telling Chloe that Clark (Biz) has finally come around and knows what his priorities are. Namely, her. The panic and fear on her expression when Clark tells her she's been in love with the wrong guy. I thought Kristin was brilliant!

Lana should never go to the fortress because only special people in Clark's life's should be there.

The one time Lana did go Jor-el killed her, then Clark went back in time and Jor-el killed Johnathon as punishment for letting her there(and she forgot about it)

I don't know if thats true but I also read that on another site this is what the person said "Chloe stated (in traveler?)that the key could only transport two people to the Fortress from the cave, (herself and Kara), which is why Lana did not go."
I will probably have to go back an watch it but it doesn't sound right.

I said they messed her up for most people, i love her even with all her flaws :) Her struggles and mistakes make her seem more real.

If that is the case, Lana should have been the one to have gone before Chloe considering she's supposed to be the love of Clark's life. That makes it even more strange she refused to go.

I have to say, I'm still waiting for her mistakes and struggles to be acknowledged on the show by anyone else to see this "realness" in her.

Yeah, but Chloe's been there before, so it does make sense that she'd be the one to bring Kara if only two people could go. I'm just trying to figure out where this 2 person rule came from. I'm gonna hafta go back and re-watch Traveler.

If we go back to the Lara episodes lana was very nervous talking with lara and lara sensed that lana was afraid that she would see the darkness within lara advice was not to let it consume you. with the way their relationship has been going I think lana would have been afraid to fail in his father's eyes so to speak. she trusts chloe's intellect and way with words not to mention her experience with actually being there. She may have even stayed behind to take the key back to make sure they weren't followed in offscreenville or chloe told her it was a one way trip and kara would have to fly one of them back. they should have had made a reference to it somewhere.

Lana could never have pulled off how Chloe handled convincing Jor el that her love for Clark is pure and that he needed to listen and trust her right now. Lana now has a darkness in her now, Lara saw it.

I'm glad the writers wrote her off that scene. Chloe's plea was genuine and emotional

I don't think Al Miles hates KK. the reason is they had re-shot some of this episode since the writer's strike has been over and Kristin has been in Thailand filming Street Fighter. When they decided not have this episode the season finale the had to re shot it in order to have following episodes. KK is filming Street Fighter....It's not because of Al Miles hating her or her character Lana....that's what I think anyway.
