Well i'm hoping Clark isnt stupid enough to ever trust Lionel again. So that's another mentor/ parent figure gone
1. Jonathon
2. Martha
3. Jor-el
4. Virgil Swann
5. Kyla's Dad (can't remember his name)
6. Proffessor Fine
7. Lionel
8. Martian Manhunter
9. could have been patricia
so does this mean he will start finding his path alone, without any help?
Or do you think another mentor will appear?

His mentors don't have a high survival rate do they?

the writers love killing mentors and keeping FOTW's around for multiple seasons.

I hated the fact that he was given a book about Virgil Swann's findings of Krypton. It was like - duh - why don't you go to the FOS already! Seriously, you're relying on humans to teach you (the little they know) about your own heritage - when you should be talking to Jor-El at the FOS!
Curse this show!

Well.. he had Patricia Swann for an episode.... so yeah, he has no one to guide him anymore.

Yes but Jor-El has given him multiple reasons NOT to trust him. In many ways I don't blame him on that.

lol
Jor-el has been very misrepresented on smallville

Yes, he obviously has to come to accept and trust Jor-El to learn from him. But he has been misrepresented. First it's implied he wanted Clark to abandon all his loved ones and leave the next day to rule the world (or at least how Clark saw it), then he put his father in a coma and possessed Clark...then he used a human girl and gave her powers, fooling her and ending her life, to trick Clark...he imprisoned Clark for a month in a crystal... I can see where the trust issues would come in.

^Misrepresented and misinterpreted by both Clark and the fans.

Yep. You can't expect the haters such as you quoted to actually think if it means they don't get to bash the show, though.

in fairness, i see more hatred in your words when bashing so called 'haters' than i do in the words of those you accuse of being haters

p.s. sorry everyone, i left off shelby, who is obviously one of the more important of Clark's mentors, with his wise words and stern hand
