What was she thinking!

Lana's reaction seemed evil.
Chloe shouldn't have told her if Clark hasn't!

I hadn't realized that Clark was keeping that from Lana, or that she didn't know Chloe knew about the Fortress as well. Meanwhile it's clear Chloe knows everything. I really wish they could touch on that difference between Chloe and Lana when it comes to their relationship with Clark. At least from the point of view of Lana.

Yes, I find it strange too. Apparently he's left some extremely important things out if he hasn't even mentioned the key.

I think it was awesome because Chloe just strides down the stairs holding the portal key and tells Lana about it like it was no big thing. I think it definetely indicates who Clark has trusted the most because Lana has betrayed him so many times. I hope it does create more tension in this relationship. That would be great! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!

Why didn't lana go with chloe to the fortress?

Well, Chloe said at the DP that "if we can get Kara out, I can get here there." I think getting Kara to fortress was Chloe's thing. Lana's job was to get Kara out of the mansion.

I don't know. I do think he trusts Chloe more, but I don't think that is what this is about. Clark didn't tell her about the key or how to get to the fortress, she followed him, that's the only way she knew. Now, about Lana not noing, maybe it just never came up. I mean Clark can't tell her everything, there's too much!! So if the situaton arose in which Lana needed or wanted to know how to get to the fortress, I'm sure clark would have told her.

I don't know, I just think its yet again another sign this season, that Chloe is the one who knows Clark better than anyone.

I thought the conversation was that Lana told Chloe Clark was getting the key to go to the fortress and that the only part that Lana didn't know was the Chloe had used the key once on her own so she knew where he kept it. That's really not a big deal. I'm sure if Lana had asked where the key was that Clark would have told her, she just didn't ask. As for the relationship, the sex scene Lex shared was much more detrimental than Lana not knowing where the key was located.

I liked that bit of continuity... that Chloe specifically mentions that she knows about the key because she followed Clark to the Arctic "a couple of years ago." I think this season has been a lot better at continuity, recognizing previous events from past seasons and actually saying them on-screen rather than leave everybody guessing as to whether anything was said in Offscreenville. 'Hero' was really good at that too.

Chloe then saw the book on the floor and knew it was the book that contained the key. She opened the book and saw the key. Knew Clark didn't go to the FOS. Then they came up with the plan to get Kara out and have Chloe take her to the FOS herself.

Lana was like, huh? what? you can do that? but how?

Clark was in danger. Chloe didn't think twice about it and neither did I. Chloe was leading the charge to save Clark and she was better equipped to. She's his sidekick.
