1. was the letter opened to the viewers (i remeber the trailer showed the writing, but i don't think the episode did)

2. where have i seen the red v seal before?

I'm not sure about Number 1, but Number 2 is in "Siren". Lana Lang is holding the letter with the seal.

There was a trailer made with pieces of different episodes.
Lionel opening and looking at a letter was shown.
But the writting on the letter was not (in this episode).
So maybe in an upcoming episode we will see another letter - "The last son of Krypton belongs to Veritas". Maybe it is not over yet.

Yeah that part really deserves to be in a deleted scene, but like so many unused scenes from trailers or director's cuts, it probably won't appear on the Season 7 DVD.

I know it's not the seal, but am I imagining things, or did the symbol on Lex's window in his study turn back to the Luthor coat of arms? In "Siren" and "Hero" it had become the Veritas symbol. I guess they did that so Lex wouldn't turn around and match his painting with the window.

Strange you mention that Vergon6. I was thinking that P. Swann would have seen the logo in the window. But you are thinking that it wasn't there. Hmm...

My comments above - meant to imply that a future episode, Lex will recreate Veritas and that is where the letter "The last son of Krypton belongs to Veritas" will come from. But with evil intentions, unlike P. Swann's.

Yeah that would have been a possibility too. I am not sure if anyone taped the episode, but it might be interesting to go back and confirm what I thought I saw, that it was just the Luthor Coat of Arms on the window in this episode. Could it be a continuity error? Not in story, but in the filmmaking sense?
