Geez...can't anyone on this show hired security that isn't mentally insane? Lex's security teams seems to breed nuts and Lionel hired a mercanery who was crazy too. Even Ollie hired a guy who went insane in that episode where he kidnapped Lex and Lana to see if Lex had any powers. You would think with the money they throw around, they'd get guys they could actually trust. Insane henchmen seems to be another recurring theme on this show along with freak-of-the-week.

LOL! I know.. Pierce worked for Lex too. Why would Lionel hire someone who worked for Lex at one point. Crazy man Pierce mentioned it when he turned on Lionel at the end.

why lionel hired him is beyond me... i mean he just let him and all those other soldeirs know part of clarks secret... how the hell does he justify that?

Good question. Why would you hire a guy who can't even cut it as a Lex henchman?
There's like an entire graveyard for those guys in Smallville. Why don't they just start having them wear Starfleet Uniforms?
