"Traveler" - Best 14th Episode of the Series?

Season 5: "Tomb" - The ghost of a murder victim possesses the body of Chloe in an attempt to find the killer and avenge her death.
Season 6: "Trespass" - Someone is stalking Lana and knows her every move. Clark assures Jimmy that he is only friends with Chloe.
Season 7: "Traveler" - Clark is kidnapped and help in a Kryptonite lined cell. Chloe and Kara go to the Fortress and plea to Jor-El to restore Kara's memory.

I gotta go with Obsession it brought Alicia into Clark's life and he was actually relieved to have someone to know about his powers because she too had to remain sheltered and kept on a short lease by her parents as well if anyone found out about it. Clark was also very attracted to Alicia because he could be himself around her and didn't have to keep his guard up something he felt he couldn't do with either Chloe or Lana.

Yeah that was Rush, it was pretty good but I think Traveler surpassed it.

I can't decide if I want to call it the best of the series. But it's certainly close. I think I'll decide after I rewatch it tomorrow.

I absolutely love Rush and the acting in Tomb was excellent, I had to go with Traveler. It's the first time I thought a season 7 episode was better than one from the earlier seasons.

"Traveler" was good but I have to go with "Krypto", by the mere fact that Shelby (played by Bud the dog), is absolutely adorable ;) Funny enough, "Krypto" was the first episode that I watched on the Season 4 DVD when I first got it.

This was harder for me then I thought. None of these episodes are in the upper echelon of series greats but Trespass and Obsession were both right on the brink for varying reasons. Obsession with the introduction of the all time best FOTW: Alicia and Trespass for the beginning of the "redemption of Lana"/"Lana secret reveal"/"closure of horrific Lexana" story arc. Traveler was just a notch below but something was just missing, which is a shame because it had potential to be a series great. Maybe it was the confusing nature of Lionel still not adding up or too much focus on Chloe's "relationship" with CK clearly made to appease a segment of fans at the expense of his relationship to other characters just as important in his life. Anyway, here they are, BEST to WORST:



1) Season 6: Trespass
2) Season 3: Obsession
3) Season 7: Traveler
4) Season 2: Rush
5) Season 4: Krypto
6) Season 1: Zero
7) Season 5: Tomb

None of these episodes are memorable to me, except for the one we saw last night! Zero was really good in its twists as people tell the story from their own point of view. Krypto was fun, but not much more. I thought Trespass was OK, but too much of "worship Princess Lana" and not any story progression whatsoever.

So I liked four.

I didn't like three. Tomb was slow. Obsession was annoying. Rush is my least favorite episode of the entire Smallville series.

"Traveler" beats them all in my opinion, although I love the Chloe episodes and the ones that did feature Alicia.

"Trespass" is the one from Season 6 that had the assistant of Lex trying to get Lana away from Lex, and ended up just going 100% crazy.

1. Traveler-INTENSE
2. Tresspass-I liked Lana snooping around, and then she got sensitive when she found her picture in clark's desk
3. Krypto-We got shelby...without whom we wouldn't have so many funny threads
4. Rush-I didn't like Chloe ruining Lana and Clark's first real chance though
5. Obsession-Introduced us to Alicia, who I really liked.
6. Zero-Don't quite remember what happened in that one
7. Tomb-Didn't like it...It was totally random, and that Mikey guy..What is that about? He seemed like a sex offender to me!

i think it's difficult to be objective when you've just finished an episode. if it's any good, it seems way better

i mean the first time i saw rush i thought it was amazing, same with tomb.

but i dont think that means the new episodes are better... sometimes the stories are more exciting cause we are moving past the barn yard meteor freaks, but i'm a firm lover of the old smallville

As a whole, Ive liked all of the Season 7 episodes, well, except mabye "Fierce," but it had its moments. Thats the only real episode that wont hold up to multiple viewings as well...

I really enjoyed Rush and Obsession, but Traveler wins.

It was just an intense episode with a very compelling conflict. I think everyone has waited for the moment when Lionel turned on Clark, and I loved how he did it. It almost comes out as caring, but in the end it's Lionel being selfish.

Also, Chloe and Lana team-up was great, along with Kara getting her powers back, and saving her cousin.

Trespass is the only one I didn't like, hmm, that's unique.

But I think Tomb was the most entertaining, unlike some I don't mind the episodes that lean more near horror. I am a 'Supernatural' fan after all ;)

My God. This was the best episode in a long time. It had me glued to the screen, sent chills down my spine on several occasions, and I was stunned after it concluded. So much was revealed and foreshadowed. My favorite episode so far. I just started season 7.
