it's kinda a defence mecinsiom, Lex wasn't to know what's so different about Clark and this is the Lex that does experiences on metor infected. Can you imagine what he would do to Clark if he found out his weakness??? and he can't rele trust the whole world with his secret.

Don't blame Clark, he was going to tell Kara the truth. Lana & Lionel talked her out of it.

Oh and since when were Lionel and Lana on happy sit in the kitchen and chat talking terms???
