Freak of the Weeks.

I know that some people are not to fond of the Freak of the Week storylines, but im glad that they brough continuity into it in form of Pete Ross and past seasons. I also like how the writers poked fun at it by having Chloe saying, "Is nothing sacred anymore" when Clark told her that the gum Pete had taken was fashioned with Kryptonite. I really enjoyed this episode and even though the season started off a little rocky, with another FOTW episode, "Fierce," i am beginning to think that this might be one of, or the best season of "Smallville" yet. What do you guys think?

I really like this season, too. I like how they've focused more on the mythology.

I didn't care much for Hero. It's good they brought Pete back for an episode, but I think they really mucked it up with poor characterization and typical plot. FOTW episodes are especially not bad when they move the plot forward, which this one did (with respect to the Veritas storyline).

Why the heck was Lana comfortable at playing tea party with Lionel?!
How many times do people dose Clark with kryptonite and then put it on his chest for added effect?

But then again, it's a Smallville episode. Despite how bad it is, I'll be watching it again when the DVD comes out :D

i think it was nice that pete isn't actually a freak and it was just only when he was chewing the gum

I didn't get that either, but now I think that them talking had something to do with what Lionel wanted Lana to help with him with back in "Siren", something about Grant/Julian's and how Lionel wanted Lana to find out that Lex was behind it or something. maybe Lana agreed offscreen and him showing up was a follow-up about it or something. just my theory tho..
