I think the Kara and Lex dynamic is interesting. She's like a little sheep now with the mem loss. But when she regains it all again, she'll be like a tiger. Because I'm expected by then he would have twisted the truth to her so much!He's probably going to end up with a few broken parts

i dont know what to believe. but i was furious when i saw the look on lex's face as he closed the doors at the end of the episode. i hope that doesn't imply that he and kara did "it". it would really piss me off so much...how an innocent girl can be manipulated by someone as sadistic as lex luthor. what is your opinion of what happened behind the closed doors??

I agree for the most part. Lex was never really that attracted to Kara when he first saw her, so he's probably not now. He's just in it for the satisfaction of knowing that he knows Clark and her secrets since they've both lied to him. The only time that I think he would kiss her is if he feels that Kara's slipping away from him (while still having her amnesia) and he wants her to trust him more, so he kisses her to gain her trust. But it'd wouldn't be out of love IMO.

I know, there isn't even the slightest hint that Kara and Lex "did it" just because he closed the door. It was so obvious that was just Lex looking pleased that Kara wanted to stay there.

The ONLY reason anyone would think they "did it" because he closed the door, is because guys have their minds on that in the first place, because it wasn't implied not in the least, not even a little bit. I mean, they weren't even kissing or even touching, and he's never dated her or taken her on the first date. It's like she's seeking sanctuary there at this point nothing else, and that's very, very crystal clear to anyone who's mind isn't thinking about sex with Kara, lol.

I do not believe they will become a couple, but in some of the comics, if I am not mistaken, I believe Supergirl worked with Lex.

First, I keep seeing, "Once Kara gets her memory back and learns Lex has been lying to her all along..." and such. But, actually, he hasn't been lying to her all along. I've tried to think of one thing he's told her so far that wasn't the truth, and I can't. Even saying he couldn't say Clark was trustworthy was the truth, as far as Lex sees it.

Now, he might be giving her the truth in a way specifically designed to make her trust him. But, if/when she gets her memory back, Kara won't be able to say that Lex lied to her.

It's actually very skillfully manipulative on Lex's part.

As for this being like Lexana all over again, I actually think a lot of viewers would've preferred Lexana like this. (Lex using Lana to get to the truth about Clark, rather than him actually falling for her and becoming as bland and blah as all of the guys who fall for Lana seem to become.)

I don't see any hints of genuine, romantic interest for Kara on Lex's part. But if Lex had to go their in order to get what he wanted (the whole truth) I think he would.

What Lex did do was manipulation. He kept information from her in the beginning (and why she's moving in with him after that kind of blatent dishonesty I'll never know). He's also purposefully driving a wedge inbetween her and Clark. I also can't understand why Clark is hiding her true origin when she has an absolute right to know. This is Superman? How incredibly dishonest. Keeping his identity secret (in the future at least) serves a real purpose for protection. Keeping Kara's origin a secret from her serves absolutely no purpose what so ever. Now she's fallen into Lex's web of lies and dishonesty and once she does find out her origin I wouldn't put it past her to go running right to Lex about it.
This worthless filler is exactly why Kara needs to be gone by next season. It serves little purpose but to take the focus off of Clark.
Isn't their enough drama for them to work with without having Lexara added into the mix?
I'm taking bets now on how long it will be before Kara sleeps with him. My money's on next episode.

I guess I'm in the minority, but I like the idea of them together. I think I can buy this more than Lexana for the mere fact that Kara really is an innocent minded person in this situation. Lana was already a little darkened when she hooked up with Lex that's why trying to make her this paragon of virtue, that somehow made him feel like a better man, didn't work. Atleast in this situation we can really feel bad for Kara because she really is out of the loop. I think that MR and LV have really amazing chemistry. I don't know but I almost get uncomfortable watching them because it is so palpable. I almost feel like I'm intruding on some couple's private moment. I never got that vibe about Lexana. I think that this relationship could be very interesting for the fact that he is the wolf in sheep's clothing and she really is an innocent young woman be lead astray. It will be doubly bad for Lex though once she gets her memory back, mostly if they do become intimately involved.

Yeah, but that's what actually makes Lex so pathetic, cos the fact is if Kara knew what Lex is truly about, she would have let him anywhere near her! As for Lana, granted she was already a little dark, but still no where near Lex' playing level! You can't avoid the image of poor little Lex, only being able to handle himself with women who either aren't to bright, have an ulteriour motive for being with him, have amnesia and don't know any better, are crazy, or are just plainly golddiggers! I wouldn't be surprised if TPTB would make Lex and Kara a couple, but I really don't think that was the intent of that scene. I think Lex's almost smirk indicated that he now has, or thinks he has, the means to answer all his questions about Clark. Someone earlier said that this was a fine piece of manipulation, and that's exactly what it is, IMO. It will also be another way of blackmailing Clark - look, I've got your cousin, what are you going to do about it - into revealing his secret.

Yup, in a deleted scene, Lex was doing Kara over the cofee table so hard the table shattered and Kara had to be sent to Smallville's medical center for glass cuts, but the writers realised the were going to overshoot their hospital scenes budget, so the whole thing was cut.
