I haven't seen this episode yet, but i keep hearing all this horrible stuff about pete. This worries me quite a bit, as pete is one of my favorite charachters in the series.

*off topic, but i never really got your avatar Jimmyolsenblues, till i watched that movie  after that i connected the dots.*

And then he said the gum is kryptonite free right in front of Jimmy.

He must have not cared what they meant...

Yah chloe needs to come up with a good explanation to why her clark and pete refer to the meteor rocks as kryptonite that won't expose the truth.

From watching this episode its just confirmed what I always though which is Pete is an A**H**E, hes always been jealous of Clark in everyway and now he got himself a power he came back to boast, doesnt change the fact he is still an A**H**E. The sooner they kill him off the better for everyone!!!

Well what did you expect him to do? If he would have not left the kryptonite, Clark would have easily got up and gone after him. Plus he probably figured that Clark's "new best friend" (ie Lionel) would be back before it could do any permanent damage to Clark. Also, he was affected by the green kryptonite, so he wasn't completely himself.

Yeah it was a stupid thing to do, but there is no need to do say this is reflective of Pete in general.

I completely forgot that he mentioned Kryptonite in front of everyone. Although maybe Jimmy was too preoccupied with wanting to rekindle his romance with Chloe than paying attention to what Pete was calling meteor rock.
