Why did they wreck Niki in the second season?

I loved her storyline in the first season, but let's face it: the multiple personality aspect of her was climaxed well in "How To Stop An Exploding Man". So bringing her back to it and using it to kill of DL to bring in useless characters like Alejandro and Yaeko was a bad mistake, and one that suggested that they didn't know what to do with her. The emotion of Niki and her family was gone, and they just seemed to be retreading an old path with their plot in Season Two.

Anyone else agree? What would you have done with Niki in Season Two?

I would've followed up on the grounds laid by Season 1 and explored the nature of Jessica's ability and history, not thrown it all out and just left it at Nikki's powers= insanity-causing strength.

Delving into Jessica's history would be good.

I would have liked to see her, her sister and her father... and what trauma caused her to develop multiple personalities.

Another of my fave things about Nikki was how she cared for Micah. So for her to leave Micah and go to work for the company... I hated that.

Mean i'm kind of sad that Nikki's dead but she wasn't really a favorite character or mine...mainly cause i got tired of Micah and a little tired of D.L. too but i am glad that the actress playing her got to come back even if it is a different character.
