haha, thats funny. It actually was the busboy form the diner Kara was working at. I can't remember his name, but he shot lex out of jealousy, since he was acting like a creepy stalker/jealous BF to her the whole time, and also becuase Lex and Lois were trying to get Kara away from him

And in a later episode it will be revealed that Lana hired the busboy to "hit" Lex. That's why she's practicing her wide eyed "I'm innocent of any wrong doing" look.
