This thread is for the discussion of mistakes, plotholes, or inconsistencies you found while watching Fracture.

The fact that Lex was shot between the eyes, somehow found by authorities and airlifted to a hospitol in SMALLVILLE

Made no sense whatsoever xD If Finnley or whatever had dumped his body somewhere he would have been dead by the time someone found him. In fact, he should have been dead the second he was shot.

Once you get past that though it wasn't bad xD

Chloe arguing by saying that when she healed Jimmy nothing happened yet she was holding her finger in pain. And the fact that she's comparing healing a minor cut to healing a gunshot wound and someone in a catatonic state.

But yeah, you_smell_terrific is right. Once you get past that, it wasn't bad at all.

Why would Lois just hand over her cellphone to Lex? I think Lex could see it from where he was. I mean really, how idiotic!

HA! I said that same thing. I was like "wtf why did she give him the phone?"

Of course it was just a set up so that later in the episode they would find out Lois was there too

I don't get how CK could pick up the cell phone in Lex's dream/head/vision..... maybe that doesn't matter but I just thought that he was an observer unless Lex interacted with him......

I don't think there were any plotholes created by this episode (at least none that I remember). The bullet between the eyes was farfetched. I wish they would have made him get grazed by the bullet at a less critical part of his head. But I can easily look past that one flaw and say that this is by far the best episode of the season--make that the last 2 seasons.

I also thought it was lame that Lex apparently had the bullet surgically removed and yet there was no scar or anything. In reality a surgery like that would probably take hours because you have to operate carefully around a brain. Do you really think the best medical staff is at Smallville hospital? Why not keep him in Detroit lmao

Chloe's healing is what made any scars disappear IIRC.

He didn't have them before that, that's what I meant

Things that bothered me:

Why didn't Kara just climb over the chain link gate to get free? There was so razor wire over the gate.
How did Kara know to shout "Lex" when he was shot if she has amnesia?

She knew his name prior to being shot. It was in the episode Flash back memory scene when she and he was at the diner.

How about Clark finding out Lex was in Detroit with Kara and not even checking it out before deciding to go through with the Mind Meld. I mean he should be able to scan a whole city, right? It's so tiring that Clark seems to not ever use his powers to it's potential. Good episode though.

That I agree. He could have searched the entire city in like what? A minute. Sigh.

Yeah, I skipped over that part by accident.

Lex was talking to Lois. Lois said something like "you lo-jacked her?". Lex then replied something like "she could get amnesia again". I thought that was a cheap excuse. Lex knew where she was - maybe he just wanted to track her - to see where she went - maybe give him some clues about Clark? And the lo-jack - that was presumably the necklace, right?

----- Added 1 Hours and 18 Minutes later -----

Kara didn't appear to have had her bracelet on when she got zapped from the FOS to Detroit - yet we seen it in this episode.

Let's see:

Lex being shot in the face, dumped in a ditch somewhere and miraculously found and magically airlifted to Smallville from Detroit and survives?

Lionel getting Lex's body out of the hospital to a secret bunker and returning him completely healed with no questions asked by any medical staff at SMC?

Clark finds Kara and realizes she has amnesia but let's her cozy up to Lex at the Talon where she is at risk of spilling everything under lex's treatment?

Chloe drops dead for 18 hours, Clark sits at her bedside hoping for her to come back and nobody (namely Lana or Lois) is the wiser or even wonders where they went or what happened?

Awful. Just awful.

Lois knowing who Kara is and has let her borrow her jeans before. We never seen Lois even mention Kara before have we?

Yeah, that was really forced in there wasn't it?

This "offscreensville" place must be pretty cool, huh?

What really frosts my jiggers is that in the first scene where Kara sat behind that fence she could have simply climbed over it to break free. There was no razor wire over the gate.

where was Lana when Chloe enter the room to check what was going on with Clark or when she healed Lex ??? Did Lana go somewhere else??? cause I don't remember

That just occurred to me as well.

Something else that got my attention is I think they cut some of Alexander's dialog in the last scene before Clark went through the red door. It looks to me like Alexander's lips are still moving, yet no dialog is heard. I suspect some dialog was cut in the scene, but I may be wrong.

She probably high tailed it to her computer room to watch the whole thing on one of her monitors. That way she'll know everything that happened and the writers won't have to explain it when she knows all about it in the next ep. LOL

Not that it's terribly important, but it immediately struck me as strange that Alexander was painting the toy Roman soldier with his right hand when Lex is left handed. Usually when Lex is shown doing something with his right hand it's for a significant reason, like emphasizing that the "Lex" that robbed the Smallville S&L in season 1 was not the real Lex but Tina Greer.

euterpe, you pay better attention the writers.
Good eye.

A major plot device was first shown here that screws with continuity of the series, I'm not sure if anyone else noticed, but this was the first episode to feature a new Window behind Lex's desk that has to do with the Veritas story line. In a future episode there is a reason for this, but we do get flashbacks that show this same window being there while Lex is still a child. How for the whole series up until this point we had an L behind Lex.
