Lana said no to helping Lionel, but Lionel doesn't seem willing to back down.

Is he going to try to take Lex down?

It seemed like there was possibly some foreshadowing in that scene IMO. There have been some theories that Lex will kill Lionel before the series ends and I think they are most likely true. As sad as I would be the day Lionel is no longer on the show, its the final step to really have Lex become the Lex we all know. What could be more evil then killing your own father? It would even be sort of ironic (is that the word I want here?) to have Lex kill him because Lionel killed his own parents. Lex would not only become the way his father once was, but would become 10 times worse.

was it actually proven that Lionel killed his parents? Lionel said that wasn't true, right?

Yes but Lionel lied a lot back then xD

Chloe got Lionel's confession on tape and was nearly killed over it. I think that means he did it

Personally, I felt like we saw a little of the MB make a return appearance. He made Lana squirm until she decided it was time to finally come clean.

Wow nice theory, I really didn't think much of that final Lionel/ Lana scene since I'm really that interested in seeing Lana all that much. But now that I think about it, I think this a real big foreshadowing 2 Lionel being murdered by Lex, probably the 1st I have seen since the official season 7 description which mentioned in regard 2 Lex and Lionel that one was waiting for the other 2 make the final move, good catch.

Lana saying she knew Lex better than Lionel and that Lionel should be careful was beyond silly IMO. LOL! Everyone's known since day one that the games Lionel plays with Lex are dangerous. Lana was sending a lot of mixed messages in that scene. The one thing that touched my heart was that she wanted to be a person Clark could love again.

And again Lana falls into the same old trap. How about being a person YOU could love Lana?
