Uh, I didn't realize that blue-K made you have human DNA. How in the world did Dax-Ur have a human kid? AT least in Superman REturns, his kid is half-Kryptonian. They made it seem as though Dax-Ur was completely human, with a completely human child. I think this is a big inconsistency. Whether or not your powers are drained, I'd still think you'd posses the same DNA. His kid should be leaping tall buildings and running at the same speed as a train. I thought they dropped the ball on that one. Your thoughts?

Who said that his kid wasn't half kryptonian? Maybe the blue kryptonite affects his DNA that if he uses it his offsprings also have suppressed powers.

But the kid is not wearing blue-K. So why would his powers still be suppressed?

Blue K had quite a few effects that we weren't given direct information on, obviously. It's an open storyline, not a plot-hole, big difference.

Well, Jason in Superman Returns never exhibited his powers until he almost saw his mother (Lois, I might add, not Lana) killed. As a hybrid, you never know when their powers would be released.

Plus the kid is also half, so he may not manifest powers until hes a teen cause of the side-effects of being a hybrid and the blue k.

The original poster said inconsistency, not plot hole.
For all we know, the kid is adopted anyway. If he is truely Dax's son, we are also not shown that he doesn't have powers. All we really see is the kid coming in and hugging Dax, then leaving with Grace. I think you are all reading a ton into a scene that was only there to show that Dax had a family which was possible through blue K.
