I was watching the episodes where Issac was trying to find Peter. He kept on painting places (potential) where would be

I know Molly can think of ANY one and find them. But Issac, do you think if shown a picture or video, he could find theM?

and it would be easier to catch or anticipate where they will be because after all..he does paint the future

thoughts?

As far as I remember, Isaac had no control over the content of his visions, no?

Isaac's paintings/visions seemed to be guided by a higher power (God?) as I can't see any other explanation as to why he painted certain things and not others. There was a purpose behind what he painted, and it clearer wasn't random, but rather part of some "grander scheme". Much like the visions Johnny Smith gets on The Dead Zone -- he doesn't choose what he's going to "see", something greater than himself does -- the Big G no doubt.

Very similar to Hiro's "quantum leaps", which some of the time were out of his control, taking him where he "needed to be" to accomplish some goal, no doubt as per the will of some higher power, aka God.

He got to the point where he could focus on a specific someone while not high on heroin and paint what he wanted. he just died too soon.

YEAH?! SEE?!

keep pondering.

It was when eh was trying to find Peter, when he was invisible.

Not only could Isaac Paint people were, he painted it where they would be in eh FUTURE. Molly's in the present. By the time they get there (except for hiro) they might be gone.

SEE?! SEE?!?!?!?

Since we now know that Isaac's power is in the telepathy-group, we might be able to assume that Molly's is as well, and Isaac just grew into this new aspect of a power like Matt grew into his plethora of abilities.

Issac's ability is to expensive...mean every time he'd try to find somebody he'd have to paint it...then you'd have a BUTT load of useless paintings filling up your apartment lol. Plus Molly could continually track the person by just moving the little tack across the pages of the map while Issac again would have to waste time painting another picture. Granted Issac would know where they'd be before they got there but while Molly was continually tracking them...so idk...but i like Molly's better.

I concur that Isaac's ability falls in the Clairvoyant category of psionics. Generally, his ability focused on events that were directly connected to other with abilities, which would confirm the fact that they are all linked in some manner. In the X-Men comics, it was indicated that mutants brains work on a different psionic wave length than the average human. This is probably due to the increase in brain function needed to access and control their abilities, and the fact that all the abilities require mental focus to access and utilize the abilities. This would be a similar situation with the people in Heroes, with Adam and Claire being the only possible exceptions since their abilities function without the need for direct mental control.

It would appear that Isaac's ability, which is mimicked by Peter, is limited only to events surrounding other like them, and only events which have a profound outcome. If there is a "plan" or structure to those having these abilities (those that aquired them naturally that is) Isaac may have been intended to be a Seer of sorts.

I personaly think the power was out of his control, or he thought it was, so whatever he drew was something he couldnt really control or know about.
