I think Sylaris one of my favourite Villans everwhat do u think?
I love the schitsophrenic thing he does where he can copy anyones personality as long as he has consumed their power..

I really do like Sylar but only because of his power and skill. He is an insecure and crazy person who needs to stop being so selfish. Then again, he is a villian...

Best Villian list this is not in any order , just off the top of my head.
-darth vader
-sylar
-Plainview from There will be blood
-Terminator from the first movie
-Kaiser Sosay from Usual suspects
-Michael corleone for having his brother killed
-Joker from "The Dark Night Returns" comic by Frank Miller
-Lex Luthor
-Skynet for using nukes
-Dracula
It is really tough to come up with a number one all time.
Probably Darth Vader because I saw star wars at 8 and it made an impression on me.

Hes one of my favorites..also topping the list Agent Smith from the Matrix

Sorry but no, he's not even on the top ten for me. No motivation other than being evil for sake of being evil, not very consistent, and too many instances of people using "insanity" as an excuse for his behavior. But then again this show tries to be a comic in some instances and LOST in others so I guess it doesn't really matter. I read a Clockwork Orange so my standards for villany are way beyond this @_@.

Wow LEXGIRL33 U just killed it,lol.I get what u mean in some instances heroes villionry needs a bit of a revamp, which IMO is the reason for takezo kenzi/Adam.But come on Heroes is a bit young, relitevely speaking in comparison 2 shows such as smallville and batman, who had decades to create and refine thier villans so I bet in a couple of years when I recreate this poll (and trust me I will) heroes villans will be a force 2 be reoned with..HOPEFULY

Sylar is definetly way up there on the list. Personally I think that any one who manipulates others like that is super cool. I also would say the way they changed how he uses TK in Heroes is different than anything else. The cutting off the head and the classic choke is great.
Id say Sylar, the Darth Sidius (emperor from Star Wars), and Darth Vader. Agent Smith was ok, but he is still just a computer and therefore does lack emotion and personality.
IloveClark
02-23-2008, 11:46 PM
He's the worst villan ever in my opinion.

He's the worst villan ever in my opinion.
What!? with telekenesis which is the best super power, combined with his personality and manipulative character. He is the best villan, the best Heroes character, and one of the best fictional characters.
TheANIMAL (marcus)

He's unapolgetically evil, and intelligent at that.
Perfect.

I wouldn't say EVER, but he is a really cool contemporary villain.

He is a great villian but he dropped on my list when he couldn't stop aan office worker from stabbing him.I mean Hiro didn't use any power and still stabed him.
Ps i think sylar has super speed too.
Just because he came out of nowhere behind peter and hiro couldn't keep him frozen.

Maybe he has some control of time himself.
I thought that too. but every time hiro freezes time near peter he keeps moving since they share the same power but when hiro frooze sylar he stayed froozen for abit.

Sylar reminds me a lot of why i love the character of Lex Luthor. They are both obsessed with power, control and being important. They both like to pretend they are good people (lois and clark Lex especially). They are both psychologically interesting and have parent issues LOL

-Joker from "The Dark Night Returns" comic by Frank Miller MOST DEFINITELY!!!
-Lex Luthor YES
-Skynet for using nukes Who???
-Dracula Umm...ok.
Probably Darth Vader because I saw star wars at 8 and it made an impression on me.

-Darkside..(Superman) YES
-Bizzaro.(smallville only) YES...cause Bizzaro is hilarious lol
-Brainiac YES
-ZOD YES
-Rash al goul I guess...not one of my favs.
-Sabertooth YES
-Apocalypse DEFINITELY
-Doctor Doom DEFINITELY
..Yeh just the top of my head, yeh,a show is only as good as its villan
Galactus does rock SO HARD but i mean he can't really be considered a villain like pfrocker18 said but i suppose to the people who's planet he destroys would consider him a villain...lol.
There's prolly way to many villains that i could list that i like cause the villains tend to usually be cooler and more interesting than the heroes themselves.
Litle bit more bizarre
10-08-2008, 01:13 AM
Sylar is on the top of the list dont you all forget that he is patient zero:D:D:D:D
Doomsday911
11-15-2008, 05:32 PM
Doomsday would kick Sylar's ass
pizzahead2490
11-16-2008, 06:31 PM
the greatest villan of all time is darth vader!!!! then joker, then hanibal, then freddie, then etc etc etc the list goes on way before i reach sylar.
but.. sylar is the greatest villan on heroes
Tabularasa
11-16-2008, 06:33 PM
Greatest on Heroes, but he doesn't hold a candle to others like Darth Vader or Hannibal.
Smallville Gone Bizarr
12-02-2008, 02:06 PM
I think he's the best Villain. On Heroes but nothing more.

ITA lex is a way better villian than sylar, just cuz sylar has powers does not mean he is a better villian.
lex is a mastermind and genius while sylar works on impulse.
slayer
12-12-2008, 11:19 AM
-Skynet for using nukes
i love how skynet made it onto your list...i would have never thought of it :\
Demien
12-13-2008, 12:58 PM
maybe not the best but he's ok
the highlander
12-16-2008, 08:44 AM
Darth Vader,
Joker, Heath Ledger
Hannibal
Lex Luthor
That would be my list...
If you read a bit more on EU Darth Vader, Stabbing himself to kill another jedi deserves being pretty fff evil. Killing your wife ranks up there, just like "sylar" did. Sylar is getting there, he hasn't gotten character development.
And Lex is because of smallville and Mike Rossenbaum. Other than that... I wouldn't put him up there.
Malorie
02-18-2009, 10:56 PM
Nah. I prefer Lex Luthor and the Joker much, much better. Sylar doesn't even come close. He's a great villain, but not the best by any stretch of the imagination.

Greatest villian ever? Nah.
Most interesting character on the show? YES.
Sylar is far and away my favorite character on this show. If they killed him off it would make the show A LOT less interesting. Seriously.

When Peter was taken into the future by his future self and he went to see Sylar at the Bennet house Peter was all powerful. He could have easily stoped time when the fighting started and teleported the villians of the scene away to some other city and he would have saved Noah Jr.'s life and Sylar wouldn't have gone nuclear.
Or what I think really should have hapened was to have future Sylar be killed in the Bennet house by Daphne and Peter would have froze time and teleported little Noah back to the present and left him there. But not tell present Sylar that he's his son because he would still be evil at that time and have the kid be raised by Peter with Angela's help. They could have given the kid his Dad's powers IA and EM. Only the kid would turn out different than Sylar being raised differently. I think that would have made a intresting story twist.

That would be nice but I dont think that Noah Jr. should even have a chance against big creepy father

Noah was Sylar's son, but he was named after Noah Bennet, if I remember correctly. I suppose it would have been nice of Peter to save him, but it seems to me that things happened so fast that Peter hardly had time to react.
And I don't think Sylar is the "best" villian ever. Freddy Krueger was. Hands down.

You and me both. Most villians don't bother me, but Freddy made me afraid to go to sleep.

Yeah Freddy was the best but I think if they make another one they need to restart the movie series or put some new twist on the story maybe that is just me though.
That would be a good power for a villian on Hereoes to have. With a few diferences like the guy wouldn't be dead. He could just wait till someone is sleeping and enter their dream in any form he wants and in the dream have any power he wants to have and kill them and they die in real life. Only nobody knows who the killer is because he is disquised as somebody different every time he enters a dream.

sylar is the best villian ever.
funny thing is that where i work we have this new employee who looks exactly like sylar. face and all. right down to the hair. many of us joke about it and have told him he looks like him. even his eyebrows. it's uncanny. i wish i had a picture of this guy but i don't. oh man we joke that's he gonna lose it and cut our heads open or use his tk to fix up the store after it's been trashed by the christmas customers. when we told him he didn't even know who sylar was. but we pointed him in the right direction and now he just laughs when we call him sylar. we also call him spock. his voice sounds very much like him too. maybe it's true that everyone has a twin somewhere in the world.
Greatest villain in Heroes? Nah... Adam just about beats him. That guy was unstable, insane and quirky, but once he went evil; that was it. No more Mr. Nice Guy, whereas Sylar's been bouncing back and forth between good and evil like a rubber ball.
He's like the Spike of this show. He was a pretty awesome villain too 'till they gave him his soul back.

i gotta feeling....that when this show finally ends, sylar will end up saving the whole world but he'll sacrifice himself doing it. he'll end up being the one true hero after everything he's gone and done.
