Ohh man did this one stink!! I was so bored. The sad attempt at the end to "redeem" the episode didn't help. Great Clark's long time friends can't even tell it's not really him :o
Not to mention the woman that loves him and slept with him can't even tell :o

No kidding! Every episode has sucked this season! Even though Cure and Blue were worse, but only by like a half of a point.

Sorry, nothing beats "Fierce" in the awfulness department.
Compared to other episodes this season, I'd say this one is a diamond in the rough.

What about the whole Witch arc two seasons ago? :)

Ok, ok, ok. I'll give Gemini this: it was like aluminum foil. It does a good job wrapping up everything, but it's horrible for your food and your health.

I'll take witches over cloning any day.

Oh good grief, don't even mention that. But I was talking about this season really.
IMO, "Thirst" is still the worst episode ever made on Smallville.

Smallville so far has been boring
Watching flies have sex is more interesting than smallville right now.
Where the hell is kara the show is lost without her
Wrath and Kara were the only good epis so far
The best things that have happened on smallville this year is watching Kara and lana beat the **** out of Clark

Witches over cloning? Witches over Cloning?! Are you serious? This is a science fiction show! Not fantasy! Cloning has always been a part of Superman, and Lex Luthor. I think it's brilliant, personally, especially because it was hinted at in Season one with CADMUS and all that. I think this seasons going really well, with the exception of Lara (yikes). It's way way better then season 4 (yikes X 2). I also don't think Kara is needed to make a good show (I'm glad it's not all about her, personally. I was worried when she was announced). Though... She is good to look at...

I heard that Cookie Monster eats carrots now on Sesame Street. That's enough to make anyone snap.

Blasphemy!
Seriously, although season 7 has its problems, for me is the best of seasons 4-7. Of course, season 1-3 are what the show should be (especially 3).

Well, he says that there are other good things out there besides cookies. I say it's a good thing-- trying to get kids to have a good diet from an early age.

Yeah I know... *sigh*
You should eat your veggies before having cookies... and I suppose his former diet wasn't a good influence on me.

I'm kind of shocked of the haters on this thread. I've have been an ardent critic of Smallville in the past and still am now but there have been some pluses this season. The show is at times maturing. It's nice not having to deal with Lana vs. Clark. At least they are in a serious relationship with no secrets, so we can move past the pining.
Yes, the Grant Gabriel (Julian) cloning thing is pretty gimmicky. At least the bad guy this episode wasn't too annoying.
Lois is fully a reporter this season. I kind of like Bizarro Clark. He's better than the real Clark.
There has been an honest attempt by the writing staff to make Smallville have continuity this season. There were a lot of references in this episode. Like Chloe and deciphering kryptonian symbols in Zod and Chloe kissing men in end of the world situations.
Clark is actually punished for last episode as Jor-El said.
This episode was a fun caper, nothing more, nothing less.
Bizarro will be explained next episode, so be patient everyone.
Finally, every episode this season has tied into the next either with one shot or one line of dialogue. At least the characters are starting to remember things and not having the brains swiped.

I have to agree this was a bad episode. the only good thing was the ending but that bumped this up to a 1.5 instead of a one out of five.
The cloning plot line was of course the only way they could bring in shock value and resolve that plot which i think is dumb. personally i was turned off at this cloning thing when i heard they were bringing it into the show because they had done the plot back in seasons 2 and 3.

I dont think it was a bad episode at all.
It opened up alot of plotlines.
The question is are Al/Miles going to take advantage of them or are they going to have more useless episodes like Fierce?

I wouldn't really call this a bad episode. Sure it has its flaws, but so does every episode, nothing is perfect. The one issue I had with this episode was that I felt like I missed something, like perhaps their was an episode in between that was MIA.
When did Chloe suddenly learn how to focus her power through her hand like that (On a side note, anybody else hear ET in the back of your head going, "ouch" lol) Although all of the meteor freaks got a handle on their powers pretty quickly so I guess that is one way of looking at it. I get that it is two weeks since the last episode cliffhanger, but it just felt in your face. Maybe it is because I missed the first few minutes, my DVR didn't recognize this as a first run episode for some reason, so I had to set it after I realized it so I only saw where Grant told Lois Lex wants her to do his story, maybe I missed something I dunno. And I could tell there was something off about Clark the whole episode but I liked the way that played out with it really being bizzaro. So in the long run I feel it was a good episode, just a few minor things and that might go away after rewatching it a few times.
Although I can't help but feel like the next episode will be called "Two Weeks Earlier" where chloe practices her powers on Shelby, Kara goes to Minnesota to see why Clark chose that as her "hometown," finds it to be an awful place, so she goes to kick Clark's ass but can't find him anywhere, and Lana sits in the loft playing with Shelby's balls moping about Clark being MIA for two weeks. It felt kind of like Heroes to me in that from what people say about the beginning, started with the end of the last episode, and the missing time gap that isn't explained until later lol.

I really liked this episode. I dont know why all the hate for this episode and for the season in general.
I really think what happened was that season 6 was so great that we got off such a high and season 7 does not compare so we feel it sucks. But the truth is, its not so bad. I think we are just also waiting for something exciting to happen.
Without mentioning any spoilers, we are gonna get some very exciting things to happen in the coming episodes. Wait till seasons end, rewatch Season 1,2,4 and then pass judgement on this season.
Besides, I thought the following episodes were entertaining, interesting and well thought out:
Bizarro
Kara
Cure
Lara
Wrath
Blue
Gemini
7 out of 9 decent episodes is not bad.
I think what makes these episodes bad to people is that we dont have answers. Wait till the end of the season/beginning of new season. All answers will be revealed.
Think of the good this season: Kara, Zorel, Lara, MM and more...

I like this epi because this:
1. Chloe confirms that is in love of Jimmy.
2. Confirms that Milton fine returns (for those who don't like spoilers or has internet connection to see them)
3. Confirms the Clone Julian.
4. Lex buying the DP (OH boy, something tells me this is going to be one of those..."Easy comes easy go" for Lex.
Other than that, this season has been "slow" in many things...if they planning to end it on season 8th.

I still think the empending writer's strike is responsible for the poor quality shows from season 7. The season premiere was excellent, but everything fell apart after that. Perhaps they'll can these episodes at some point (i.e. whenever the writer's strike ends) and start over, picking up from after the season premiere (I know, wishfull thinking). Truthfully, I find a lot of the fan fics on here much more entertaining than this season's episodes.

I actually kinda liked this episode. Granted it wasn't my favorite of the whole season, but it was still rather good.

The word is impending. And the strike is currently going on.
Anyway, the strike has nothing to do with the way the episodes are written. They were written way before the strike ever started. It's just bad writing. Smallville's been guilty of that since season 4.

Season 6 so great? As a continuous cohesive season, it was the worst ever. I couldn't care less about Clexanna and their angst and those stupid Phantom Zoners. In fact, I try to forget it ever happened.
