How is Julian alive?

right now i just cant wait to get out of school so that tonight after a Chrismas party that i will attend i can enjoy a new episode. As for my thoughts on Julian, he is still alive because Lex had something to do with it like he had explained a few episodes ago.

i think bring the concept of cloning has never been a successful ratings /successful writing tool.
How many shows do you know , once they introduced a whole plot line and it turned out to be a clone, just does not stand up.
Do you know what I mean?
I am not a big fan of the cloning plot.
I find most cloning movies are more on the level of Multiplicity with Michael Keaton. Silly and unsuspenseful.

the way i understand it from the episode gemini is that lex cloned his dead brother and implanted memories of him growing up under adoption,the first clone failed and began aging rapitly
(Adrian) lex gets rid of adrian but he later seeks revenge, lex's second clone is a sucess (Grant) he has the same memories as adrian, so you see julian is a clone of the real julian who is in fact dead, at least thats what i got from gemini, oh and i think the gemini means twins or double anyway

well at least they can't flip it around and make Gabe the real Julian and Julian the Clone... I didn't mind the clone saga till they did that.

Anyway, I think Lex just named the guy Julian and fed him some crap backstory about how they didn't grow up together. That's why Grant said, "You just needed someone to depend on you."

But I have to honestly tell you that I was actually surprised to see that Lex used Evan's Rapid Aging Secret to clone Julian. And that there were two of them. It was really cool to hear the older Julian (Adrian) tell Lois that he was aging rapidly and would soon die. When I heard him say that to Lois, I immediately made the connection that he was an older version of Grant Grabriel. :lol: ;)

Now, since there were two Julians maybe there is something more to Lana than meets the eye. :lol: :rotfl:

Oh yeah. We all remember Lionel's reaction in "Memoria" when he blamed Lex for Julian's death. Imagine how freaked out Lionel would be to learn that Lex has now taken his dead brother's DNA to create a "replacement."

I voted for this option. Lex has revived so many of Lionel's old projects... I can see this as being no different. Perhaps as Grant suggests in asking if he's really Lex' brother, he and Lex don't really share DNA... but if they do... Lionel started the attempts to resurrect Julian in clone form.

They don't share the same DNA because they are two different persons. And you can't clone someone using a relative's DNA. We could say they have a few chromosomes in common though.

I like the clones. It just goes to show just how insane and sick the Luthors are, but I don't think Lex has topped yet Lionel's playing house with Emily in S2. That seriously creeped me out.

The real Julian is dead and stays dead. Grant is simply a cloning experiment that turned out to be perfect, and Lex just fed him with the made up Julian backstory and memories and sped up his aging process.
