View Full Version : The items in the storage

There was:

A sword
A small horse figure
A black pyramid
A brain in a jar
3 playing cards
A key
An empty display stand that would have held the vial.

When Hiro enters the room, the display that I believe was for the vial is empty and Adam is reaching for the key.

What did he want with the key? What where the other items?

I assumed that it was a fake out so that Hiro wouldn't notice that he already snatched the virus and was holding it behind his back. It would have been the ultimate sneaky sneaky move if Peter didn't stop it from busting on the ground right in the nic of time.

I like that answer, but I had assumed that the items in the storage would have had interesting properties.

To be in the vault, I assumed they were of some value to the company.
I doubt they would be so elaborate, to setup a bunch of things as a distraction.

In the commentary when they entered the vault, the commentators all yelled "CLUES CLUES!!".

BTW, the people they used in the commentary were the people who do the musical score for Heroes.
Not many behind the scene stuff other than what they used for the music.
But if I recall correctly, they did say something about the brain, but no explanation or hints.

I thought about it more, maybe the key was to Adams cell.

E: Sylar is definitely going to eat that brain.

Frag_Man: I totally just mirrored your thought in another thread about Sylar and that brain having a dinner date in the future.

I am glad someone reminded me about Adam reaching for the key; it is definitely something important, though it seems unlikely that it would actually go into a door's keyhole, as it was a very old-fashioned key. But it does something, that's for sure.

The Key could be to the Lock where other Bad guys are locked up.
Since actually throwing away the key would make to much since.

 Just like destroying a super virus would. The Company makes some pretty questionable choices.

I guess that's what Sylar would refer to as 'canned food'.

The virus was actually hidden behind that old key, the key is just a distraction

There was a stand with a specific shape to hold a vial, and it was empty.

The sword there was actually a kris (a crooked dagger), and it looked like the one St. Joan was holding in the comic book cover.

New Monica storyline perhaps?

the brain in the jar belongs to Steve Martin and he's in love with it.
