Is Matt The New Peter

i wouldn't say he is on par... look at it this way. Peter has all these amazing gifts, but parkman has an ability that controls the most important part of the body... the mind. So i'll say parkman has a leg up on Peter... until Peter can develop his mind reading ability to that of Matt.

Matt is far from Peter. Powerwise. Though you got to hand it to Matt for carring on the investigation...the dude is dedicated to say the least.

As far as him turning into his father...I don't believe that'll happen. Sure he'll flirt and walk that thin grey line, but he won't cross it. He's got Molly and his character to keep him grounded.

Also, maybe Peter can only mimic the powers people have access to at the time. So he could only use the mind reading becuase thats all Matt could. So next time they come in contact he will get the new powers.

Matt really disturbed me in this episode. He's falling into the same pattern Angela Petrelli said his dad did. Then, she said, "Don't make me tell you who she is. I promised to protect her." Then the next time we see Parkman, he has the woman's name.

He's abusing his ability and I hate that. :(

Parkman's abilities are all around the mind - not like Peter's absorbing powers. Parkman's powers were all with him to start anyway.

Be interesting to see if he can handle it or if he goes insane like he's dad.

Matt didn't realize he had the potential until he met his father. If the bomb would've gone off, he probably would've never have met his father and never been the wiser.

His power is a bit weaker then lets say Candace's power, because Matt's power seems to be able to effect only one person at a time while Candace could fool the whole world that she was a skinny brunnette. And Eden's voice when she did her thing was so much cooler then when Matt does it. :p

The whole mulitple powers for Matt seems like a desperate attempt to make us like him, but eh, I still don't don't.

Well his powers are still developing. His father was able to use his abilities on more than one person at a time so i see no reason to think that matt won't or isn't able to yet.

Matt is becoming a better character know, I don't hate him anymore :D, he is taking charge and doing what he feels needs to be done to protect Molly, I just wonder when (not if) his powers will get the best of him...

Hmm doesn't peter has the Hatian power? So technically if Peter ever has to versus with Matt then Peter can use the Hatian's power to block the mind read and mind control that Matt now has.

Man who can't wait for next episode with Hiro vs Peter? Good stuff, for now I think peter is a bad guy hopefully he'll understand that Adam has evil intentions.

If Pete has his powers he will unstoppable but,it's also a possibility that the haitian turned off Pete's abilities the all time he was with him.

Correction Peter is not the bad guy.He's with the bad guy because he doesn't the all story yet.He thinks the guy wants to save the world...If I didn't know the guy already,I would fallow him too.As soon as he find out the thruth,he will change side.

When was this? Candace's power of illusion was so strong that she could strut around using an illusion of her body and nobody would ever know the difference. Matt's Pa had to get into each individual person's head in order to change their reality. In that aspect, for illusions, Candace was stronger.

She was pretty powerful, in her backstory novel, she was able to tell her stepmother to die.... and then she did. CREEPY!

Plus, like I said before, the sound effects for her voice were awesome, lol.

Peter is kinda unstoppable - the only thing that stops him is himself and his second guessing or worrying about others. Which isn't a bad thing - but he needs to take some quality time to work on his power control. He's got a lot more on his plate than the others who have one power or so each.

I'd like to see more of Peter playing with his powers (why does it seem like this is a dirty convo lol) - improving them - learning more about them etc. And learning more about his own sponge power - you know - test it to see how close he needs to be to someone to get their power.

It might be possible he's got the Haitian's powers - it depends on how close the Haitian needs to be to turn off/inhibit powers and how close people need to be for Peter to to absorb powers - lol - can you see it happening that Peter has the Haitian's powers - wonder if he can use two at once any time soon.

Peter may only be able to use his various powers in their most basic form, and might not be able to develop them to the advanced level of Matt and his father. That may be the trade off between having a lot of different powers and having only one power.
