PLOTLINE: This is basically a short story idea I came up with where Clark comes back home three days after the ordeal with Zor-El and Kara. Feeling sorry for her beloved hero, Lana tries to help Clark relax with a night in watching television.
"Lana, are you home? It's me. I'm-I'm back from the arctic."
Lana opened the front door of the Kent's home and smiled at the sight of her boyfriend. "Oh, Clark! Thank heavens! I was starting to get awfully worried about you! You think with all that alien technology, you'd have the means to call me or Chloe!"
"I'm sorry, Lana. Even if I could, it doesn't change the fact that Kara's missing and Jor-El is ticked off at me for defying him. I don't even know why I listen to stupid A.I. system I call a father!" Clark spouted.
"Hey, come on now! You've been through a lot. Why don't we sit together and watch some television? Titanic is supposed to be on in a few hours."
"After all I've been through, I don't think I could stomach a disaster flick, especially one starring that DiCRAPio guy! I'd rather watch a Leonardo heavy episode of Ninja Turtles with my pal Bart!"
Lana chuckled as she hugged Clark warmly. "Okay, Mr. Moody! What do you have in mind then?"
"Honestly, I feel kinda like going to my room for a time-out."
"Okay. Um, well is there anything I can do for you?"
"You can join me in time-out, but try to think of it like study hall."
Lana rolled her eyes as she said "Come on, we haven't been to school over two years! Man, I'm starting to regret dropping out! God, why did I have to get so involved with- I'm sorry, sweety! I didn't mean to."
"It's okay, Lana."
"Clark, please. I just don't-"
"You need to get these things out in the open! It's the only way I can help you conquer your emotions."
Tears began to well up in Lana's eyes as she walked to the couch. "Why'd I have to be so stupid and allow that megalomaniac to use me in his stupid experiments?! I don't think I can ever be a mother now!"
"So that's what this has been about? Your so-called pregnancy?"
"Yes, Clark! Thanks to Lex, I'll probably never have a child!"
Clark couldn't stand the sight of Lana crying and trembling, so he proceeded to hold her close. "Come on, don't say such a thing. I'm sure someday you'll meet someone worthy enough to settle down with. Even if it can't be me, I'll see to it he's the right man for you and if you two decide to have kids, I'll do whatever I can to help the two of you through it."
"Thank you, Clark. I'll always love you for being my friend."
"Same here, Lana!"
