i watched show yesterday "blue" with helen slater. the show seem not much action but after all those years that i have not seen helen for long time since she was in movie "supergirl", i have to say, she look beautiful. seeing her with clark together, that remind me a movie " superman II " that clark lose power to be with lois, lara is in with jol-el. at the end of show, lara goes back where she came from, hopefully clark will get to see her again. i am little bit confused about four things. one-how can zorl-el tries to get lara away from jol-el? how did he manages put blue ring on lara neck to take powers from clark out of crystal? clark had lara meet lana? that part confuse me. it seem that lara senses about lana's darkness.... then later, i was surprised to learn that grant is really julian, lex's brother but i wonder, when will julian find out that lex has been lying to julian that lex is really the one who is a murderer and lionel is trying to protect people against lex? maybe that is when julian get gunned down and dies when he learns that lionel is not the one that julian need to be afraid and that lex is the one because in season 6, lex gave wes (super-strenght freak) to kill senator burke, cloned lana, threatened chloe's mother that lex will kill chloe, etc etc. also i noticed some shows that julian may be the one that work with lana because i kept seeing those hidden cam that we see lana in iris foundation, i see them again but i dont see lana, only male hair and it sure does look like julian's head. i just explained how i think of that show that was shown yesterday. anyway, please vote to tell us what you think of helen slater....thank you!!:D

I didn't really like the way she acted. She was pausing too long between words and dragging them out.
"Lana, there *pause* is a lot of *pause* darkness within *pause* you, you mmmmuuust fight it." Maybe that was her way of sounding wise, but I didn't like it.

I loved her acting, she looked like she loved him, but that she won't hold him from his destiny, that's what I liked, I also loved the way Tom looked at her :)

i dont care the way she act but she does really good job to stay actress for so long time and i have not see her since her movie "supergirl". i was shocked that she still look beautiful after all those years and still doing good acting. i am impressed and i like the way clark and lara reunited for short time. it reminded me of myself because i am adopted and i met my birth mom. it was really amazing when i finally met my birth mom and grandmother. made me really happy! i guess i am more drawn to lara part.....

Didn't like her in this episode as much as in the other one, but she still did OK. They should make her a regular and she could be Lionel's new girlfriend.

I didn't really like her acting either, and she didn't have any chemistry with Tom Welling like Annette O' Toole does.

she is still beautiful, especially considering she's in her 40s.

her acting style is soo different from the rest of the smallville cast; i think it really set her apart as a kryptonian b/c of that.

She sometimes spoke as though she was unaccustomed or uncomfortable with the English language. It did help with her alien-ness a little bit.

Oh nothing could match TW & AO, but I thought that she had a little chemistry with Tom, especially at the very beginning of the episode.

I liked her fine as the caring mother of a baby-boy, I did hope that she would be more aggressive, though.

I'm seeing quite a bit of negative reaction to Helen's performance in Blue but I loved it and I loved her!

Her Lara was elegant and measured, serene and lovely (and yes, the woman is still beautiful). She seemed much more the ethereal angel than Kara did (even when Lex mistook her for one).

She was strength and compassion arm in arm and I was so impressed. As Clark said (I'm paraphrasing cause I can't remember the exact quote): 'For a long time I've had an ideal of my mother and was afraid she wouldn't live up to it. But she did.'

Oh Lara, you did.

(and once again this proves that the real strength and power behind Superman is not his 'fathers' but his 'mothers'.)

It is difficult for me to express how disappointed I was with Ms. Slater's portrayal of Lara without sounding unkind, I just think the casting was off. Her "Lara" seemed passionless and out-of-place. All the other Kryptonions had such otherworldly arrogance and power while this Lara seemed so bland. Her character could have been more dynamic and a force to be reckoned with while still giving her a gentle and serene personality if that was the writers intent. Smallvile is full of characters who can portray both strength and gentleness.
Her reunions with Kal-el and Kara seemed like she had just bumped into them in a mall and had only last seen them last week. Is this the same women who experienced an entire planet exploding and was re-uniting with members of her family she thought lost forever?
