I grew up in Chicago and people always said detroit was more dangerous than the southside of chicago, even more? could it be?

Being that I know English and just enough Spanish to get slapped and/or killed; I would have to go with anywhere outside the US.
Kansas would be ok, it seems that amnesia is a common thing in Smallville.

seriously detroit is not all that bad. i hate how everyone says it is but its not that bad at all. it just has the reputation because of the riots back in the 60s and 70s.

I know! chicago has that "corruption" history going on but is a great city, and I apologize if I offended your city, it's just a joke but ...
Go Detroit!

If she realizes she superspeed, etc. just realize it! She can alternate between forward and new Goalie for the Redwings. I smell Stanely Cup!

 Imagine if that's how Clark finds her.
As for the question in the poll, Baghdad would definitely be the worst.

Detroit has a huge crime rate, a bad place to be for a pretty young blonde with no memory, maybe no money and no super powers.

Downtown Detroit is not bad. It's that band between downtown and the suburbs that's horrible. Once you get north of 696 you're okay, but there's a reason the suburbs stretch out so far.
The city itself is generally one big mess; Chicago may have corruption, but Detroit has that plus incompetence.
Those crosswalk lines looked too well painted for Detroit.

For some reason, I had a quick laugh. You do a good deed in a moral crisis and wake up with no powers - although for a second she seemed to think she ought to have them- no memory and in Detroit.
If she has no memory, can she even remember Clark's phone number?

Nice.
I'll agree that it's not as bad as people make it out to be, but it's also not a great place. I took a train ride several times to Chicago and whenever I went through Detroit all I saw were piles of random garbage. The place is still on a downward spiral and that's sad.

That reminds me of NY in the 80's and early 90's before it was cleaned up. I remember 39th St in Queens from Skillman Ave to Northern Blvd. Back then, when you used to drive on it over the train yards below, the car would be bouncing up & down the entire time. It was the road in the greatest need of repavement, which didn't happen until years later. Holes all over the place. Nevermind Honeywell St. which is parallel to that portion of 39th St that goes over the train yards. That one was so bad that it was closed back in the 80's and didn't reopen until either in the very late 90's or in the 00's. I still can't believe how I can walk places at night now where I would avoid like the plague during the daytime back then. Times Square in Manhattan is completely different now, like Disney. Before, all you could see were peep shows, strip joints, hookers, etc. There are parts of it that I can't recognize from what it used to be. Hopefully Detroit will pull through the same way.
But you're right, the street that Kara was on looked like Main St. in Smallville where the Talon is on (maybe it little bit busier).

In Iraq you could probably find some journalists or army guys to help you out. I'd be a little more worried about Afghanistan...

But all metropolitan cities are like that. They have their safe and unsafe areas. A couple of months ago I took a cta train from O'Hare Airport to Chicago's downtown. Along the way, I couldn't believe my eyes that I was actually going to Chicago, some places looked like the ghetto.

Hey could be worse, Kara could be on one of the Survivor Islands with Richard!  and all the other Survivor tribes and she has to compete in the Survivor contest.:rotfl: With abilities like that, Kara would win the entire Survivor contest. Or Kara could've been on Family Guy.

It wasn't just an area or two. It was something I saw pretty much the whole way through.

Afganistan is surely worse than Iraq. In Afganistan they've got the full force of the Taliban plus all the fighters that were driven out of Iraq. That combined with a smaller army would mean she'd last a few seconds instead of a few minutes.

^^Chances are she has her powers though. I'm pretty sure she will be re-discovering herself & her powers in Detroit and I'd be willing to bet that Lex will find her.

^^After what Zor-El did to Clark i'd be unsure as to whether Kara has her powers removed temporarily or permanently.

^^Unless it was one of those innocent sibling things. Ever watched My Name is Earl? The two brothers sleep in the same bed just about every night.
Hardly a Broke Back Mountain Scene, mind you that was nothing, could have been shown on childrens TV and no-one would have complained it was so lame....... hell i've seen worse in school changing room...

I vote for downtown Atlanta because all the peachtree roads are confusing enough without dodging buliets. Can't even go to a shopping mall these days in daylight without being in in gun fight.

Ture but your forgetting she's not normole. If some men tried to rape her she could just grab them and throw them back 30 feet. Even if she sat back and let the men hit her it would'nt hurt her. The men would probably break thier hand. Kara a lucky girl that dose'nt have to worry about rape. Only posssable way she can get rape is if the rapist was wearing a green K necklace but chances are there's no green K in detroit

I think the worst place she could be in is Iraq or Afghanistan. She has no memory and may not even have her powers. You imagine the attention that Kara would get in the Middle East. A blonde 18 year old wandering around having no clue what is going on. Just remember Clark in Blank if Chloe hadn't of known about his powers he would of got discovered by about half the town - if he hadn't of told them first. If Kara had her powers and inadvertantly walked into the middle of gun fire, bombs etc. and people noticed that she wasn't getting harmed by them she would have been apprehended in a heart beat. If they were even able to catch her that is.
In relation to the actually story both Clark and Kara are in a lot of trouble because neither of them are in Smallville and they can't get back there. Clark is apparently stuck in that crystal in the fortress and Kara is in Detroit with no memory.

Those people in the middle east would probably bow down and worship Kara. They would think that she was some kind of God. I bet there's no green K period in the middle east. Is'nt she 19 or is that just a made up age.
