Is it me or did Kara and Lara seem weak and submissive in this episode. I can understand the logic that Kryptonian men are stronger than Kryptonian women even when on Earth, but past episodes have shown that Kryptonian women are not helpless.
Aethyr from the Season 5 premiere took on Clark, Raya took on a phantom, Kara took on Clark.
It just seemed out of place that both Kara and Lara, together, couldn't put up a decent fight against Zor-El. Both women were prepared to kill Zor-El to save their families and earth.

Aethyr was a warrior and a violent criminal. I'm sure there are other Kryptonian women that aren't criminals that are just as strong as the men, but that's just not the case with Kara and Lara. I buy it for Lara, because she seemed to have paid fewer visits to Earth and didn't seem comfortable with her powers, so much so that she didn't even use them. I buy it for Kara because she was going up against her Father and wouldn't believably go all out on him.

I got to agree Kara IS gonna hold back against her father and not all women are fighters, Lara came across as a gentle and kind woman who even tough had the power to fight just didnt have it in her nature to do so, my question is when Clark brought the Green K into the Fortress, 1- was he aware that it could harm both Kara and his mother AND since Green K affected even Kara's ship(mentioned in "Lara") wouldn;t the Green K have an adverse effect on the Fortress itself ?

I totally agree about Kara not wanting to hurt her father, even if he is a cold-blooded killer. As for Lara, she may be Kryptonian, but I think she's the kind of woman who can't do anything but beat on a man's back while he's in a fight, yelling to stop.

Yes, he was aware that the kryptonite could affect Lara and Kara, and possibly even the fortress itself. He's seen kryptonite in the FOS before though, and it was unaffected. Brainiac used it to subdue Clark there (I think it might have even been on the exact same pedestal that he pinned down Zor-El, which I liked).
As for whether it could have hurt Lara or Kara, Clark probably was weighing his options. On the one hand, he could stand back, do nothing, and let Zor-El wipe out humanity. On the other, he could use the only weapon he had (kryptonite), and simply tell his cousin and mother to stand back. I have to agree with his choice.

He was aware since he told Kara to stand back when he entered the FOS with it, but I still would have liked to see the kryptonite have a greater affect on Kara and Lara, and Zor-El for that matter. I didn't like how he was able to just brush it off his chest and suddenly have all his strength back.

I'd have liked Clark to have simply brought some duct tape with him lol. Even Morgan Edge figured out that just leaving the kryptonite on a Kryptonian's chest and hoping things worked out was a bad play.
