I know, it's really sad, she doesn't even know her name. :(

I'm liking this Kara twist (if it can even be called a twist...) moreso than the Julian Luthor one.

I like kick-ass super powered Kara, who tells Clark like it is, gets into trouble as she figures things out, brings the show a little comedy along with a little gravity (and some anti-gravity ;) :) )

I don't think I like a storyline like this for her at all!

I hope they just did this to Kara as an excuse for why she won't be in several episodes, and I hope they don't plan on making anything much of it. :(

I wouldn't say that I'm happy but I'm curious as to what they are doing with this. It would be cool if this was leading into something planned and intriguing... but if Laura V. just reached her total number of episodes and nothing significant comes of it...that will suck.

I don't think that's the case, because she was supposed to be in 11 episodes (before the strike happened). Since there's only 7 left to do post-strike, then it's easy to assume Kara would be in 4 of them or so.

Therefore, if no additional episodes are done until Season 8, it's all a matter of math.

11 episodes - 4 due to WGA strike = 7 episodes

Laura's been in 5 or so, which means she'll likely be in at least 2 more, before episode 15 in February.

"Happy," would not be my word for this development. Confused, intriqued ... ? Not sure. But there have been some good fanfiction stoties about Kara having a "unique" background and start. This could be the plot for the spin-off, if that happenes.

Very interesting plot twist. Must suck to wake up in the middle of the road, especially if you have no memory of how you got there! I wonder where they're going with this.

If this is to set up a new Supergirl series, yes.

I'm going to say yes.

I felt the character Kara needed a little turn in a new direction. I'm very curious to see what they do.

Zor-El sure flung her good.

I think it is a great new twist.

If this doesn't distract or DETRACT attention from CLARK and LEX, then sure, I'm all forward, as long as it remains a very, very, limited and short, sub plot.

WickedJenn

I hear you, if they make that too much of a sub plot, the show will be going all over the place.

I'm feel sorry for Kara actually but do we really know she doesn't have any powers. It could be one of those Heroes things. Like what they did to Peter memory wiped him but kept his powers. Maybe she is the same way, I guess we have to wait and see what happens now.

This is true. Even though we didn't see her use them, she could still have them.

Maybe they tried to throw us off when she was in the middle of the road, wanting us to assume she'd use her powers then to get out.

I thought she still had her powers, but she was in the amnesia state like Clark was in Blank.

I think its both good and bad, I mean its good because it is a new twist for her character but its bad because I know Lex is going to take advantage of her

I am not sure if she has powers or not.
She did shake the door hard and then bang on the window and nothing shattered, one would think that just instinctively she would have exerted super strength, but that really doesn't mean a lot in the Smallville universe.

I would like to see the explaination of Julian Luthor & really don't care all that much about the Kara situation, but maybe it will be more interesting the next time we see her.

Okay...No. 1...I am sad to see that this storyline...may take a dive until..."WHAT"...MAYBE FEBRUARY(See Spoilers...she's (LV) not in any episodes that I can see until February "HERO"...unless...it's just people talking about Kara...but "NO ACTION"?????(TY WGA Strike)!!!!!! (Maybe future JLA...it could happen!!!!!)
But this arc could sooooo go into so many different directions, I guess it depends on AG - MM, and TPTB, want the epi's to go????
But, with so many people second guessing what the "Heck", and "Whatever", all of the other possibilities....I have said it time and time again....it just depends on which direction the DC Comic writer's theories went, and will AG & MM stay true to the DC Mytho's, or will they twist it just a tad to keep SV fresh and not getting stale....just keeping the fans "Wanting More"!!!!!!

No.2 I have seen in the past epi's so many indications or talks of past seasons or episodes...that is why in the Spoilers there is an indication (With the WGA strike - bar none)...that maybe if this the end of #7, then with #'s 14 & 15...gearing up for "A Smash Ending"...they are taking into consideration of incidents and previous seasons and epi's, going back into some kind of "SV Time Warp" (Or FOS Portal thing)......"I have only one thing to say......."NOOOOOOOOO...So my fellow Kryptonians...it is now time to take off the cape, boots, and any other Superhero clothing, set the VCR'S, DVR'S etc....and just wait and watch(much later!!!), and maybe Dorothy will find that "There's no place like Home", and she will maybe find Shelby"!!!!!!
"I got nothin"!!!!!!!

I had to vote no. I positively loathe amensia stories, they are such cop outs and have been done to death. I was very sorry to see this, and especially to Kara (and so soon after she arrived!).

Not happy....

I will say I'm curious to know what will happen to Kara and how she will return. And if Lex finds her and he has no memory how he will use her in his master plan.

huh. With her storyline only being a half season old they should not have to resort to stunts to keep her 'plot line fresh' yet. But to each their own opinion1

I hated it as it was an incredibly stupid and cruel twist in the plot. Kara is interesting when she has superpowers not when turned into a helpless amnesiac.

A helpless female waiting for a man to rescue her is an outworn, lame and boring. Such a plot is as old as storytelling itself. Smallville can do a lot better than such a tiresome plot.

It's really disgusting to see such a sorry waste of what should be an exciting character. The Kara character would be an outstanding addition to Smallville if only the "genius" writers would let her.

Totally agree with you there! I'd definitely tune in for that show.
