It's great to see the old punishing Jor-El again. I wonder what he will do this time. Or was Kara's disappearance the punishment he was talking about?

I'm hoping he'll banish clark to munchkin land or something horrific like that.

haha, yea. but im gonna have to agree with xray on this one. i think kara will be his consequence, maybe he has to prevent kara from exposing them just as clark almost did in blank.

Hmm yeah, I'm wondering what the "consequence" will be.

I like the fact that this episode ended on 3 cliffhangers: Kara, Clark's punishment, and wondering about the whole Grant/Julian thing.

I wonder if it will be the re-release of Kal-El. The next episode is titled Gemini, which is the constellation of twins. As much as I want Kal-El to be released again and as a totally seperate entity (like evil Lex in Onyx), I don't want it unless he will be around for a long time (like a season). He would be the best long term challenge Clark would face and by the time he finally beats him, he would be well prepared for his days as Superman.

Jor-El did say that watching Kara is Clark's first step in his training. Since Kara is now gone in Detroit, does that mean Clark's on step 2? And will they actually do what I've been suggesting and have Kal-El be Clark's ultimate test?

The problem in doing it like this is that Clark will be forced to fight Kal-El. If they do this, I want it to be voluntary that Clark fights him because he finally realizes he needs to save the world but is too inexperienced to do it. Once he gets past Kal-El, fighting Zod or Brainiac won't be a problem anymore. He will also be able to at least survive Darkseid (in the future) after defeating Kal-El and getting some experience against a very tough alien opponent.

I wonder if Jor-El also sent Lindsay Harrison to Detroit.

I think Kara's disappearance and her amnesia are the consequences.

Jor-el said that he had nothing to do with Kara's disappearance. But maybe Clark caused it without knowing it... so maybe Jor-el was simply commenting on that when he said there were consequences. Hmm...

I'm happy Jor-el is back. Or was back for that episode.

It doesn't make sense that Zor-El did that. Zor-El was gone when that crystal was destroyed. I dunno. Maybe Zor-El did do it. Maybe he linked Kara's memories with the crystal and when it shattered Kara lost her memories. But was he really behing the disappearance? Or was the Jor-El, who lied to Clark?

The dire consequence will be: amnesiac Kara will join a 1960s style Motown girl group, and Clark will be forced to be their manager and go on a road tour. Thus their mysterious abscence for several weeks.:0

I'm happy Jor-el is back. Or was back for that episode. I think it was a blow-back reaction from when Clark smashed the crystal. Kara was struggling with Zor' El at the time & the resulting energy burst may have sent her packing with out her luggage.

^^Are you saying that Kara's body crashed through the FOS and went as far back as Detroit? That would mean that there is a hole in the FOS now. And if that happened to her, did it also happen to Zor-El and Lara or did their existence rely on the crystal being plugged into the console?

It appears to be interlocking crystals.

I think Lara & Zor' El's replicants relied on the crystal remaining whole. Once the crystal was broken, they no longer could maintain a physical existence.
