would he revert back to his old, truly ruthless MB self? Or would there still be some sort of presence of Jor-El restraining his dark side? I mean, he'd make a more dangerous villain than Lex with all the knowledge he has now, idk, what do you guys think?

yea he probably would go back to his evil ways and it is jorel's goodness that probably keeping him in a nicer state.
wait I thought that Lionel was still the vessel for Jor-El - I mean Zor-El was talking present tense when he said Lionel was the vessel. Or did I miss something (that is quite possible lol....).
MB...... miserable basterd? lol

Is he still the emissary? He didn't know who Lara was. If he was the emissary, he should have known that.

He DID know who or Zor-El was though..and I was under the impression Zor-El went after Lionel due to him still being a vessel AND emissary of Jor-El......I mean I would've expected due to that detail he'd see the MB as a threat.

Yes he's still Jor-El's emissary. Remember the scene in Phantom between MMH/Lionel/Clark?
He knew who Lara was, but he was amongst company...he could't just blurt it out.

Lex has an evil plan to save humanity
Stewie from Family Guy would make a more dangerous villan.

I think Lionel would still stay on the good guy track even if he were no longer the vessel. He's seen how Lex has turned out & knows how dangerous Lex can be when he has too much power. He would do everything he could to stop Lex & his schemes. I hate to say it, but I think we may have seen the last of the truly MB of Seasons 1-3.

I like where they've been going with Lionel's character. Makes me wish they didn't have to kill off Jonathon Kent. It would've been funny to see how Pa would've dealt with realizing that his sworn enemy is also the vessel of his son's biological father!

I don't think Jonathan would have dealt with the situation at all. Jonathan's character tended to be incredibly stubborn at the best of times & sanctimonious at the worst of times. His character overall was a good man, but sometimes I really wished he could see a situation from a different perspective other than his own.
