Jorel is cool, love his voice. But about jorel putting clark in time out or whatever, clark needs to obey his father more.
I use to think jor'el was evil on smallville, now he is a little bit tough on his son, but clark also needs to study in the FOS and pay attention to jor'el more.
I hope the writers dont let this go.

Yeah. When Clark starts acting like an adult, maybe Jor-El will stop with his punishments.

Yeah, I'm sick of Jor-El. He's as much of a psycho as his brother, branding the family crest into his kid's chest, and making his creepy demands and threats. Maybe Clark shouldn't be learning "Kryptonian Ways" at all, since most of the Kryptonians seem kinda twisted. Clark should just tear down that fortress and get rid of Jor-El.

What I find really twisted about Jor-El is he's always shown as this absolute monster, but Lara loved him unconditionally, and kept talking about him being a pacifist and all this other crap regarding family first, and how he's all for "the people", yet Jor-El loves tormenting his son and taking those away from him. It's like he's a closet serial killer.

Wow, you guys just totally saw past Jor-El. He did those things only b/c he was forced to b/c of BDA.
Jor-El seems kinda different from earlier seasons now, in that he seems less evil and makes Clark seem like he's the one doing wrong.

Clark doesn't listen and needs to be slapped down. But then again, Jor-El likes to play his games and needs to be slapped around too.

Yeah... if you noticed... in Kara there was a hint of Pride in Jor-El's voice.. today it seemed like "Ohhh great he's back to his BDA self"

But the thing is... Jor-El never played games with Clark once the Fortress was activated... you have to notice the slight differences... but first part i agree

The thing that always gets me is that Jor-El always expects Clark to trust him and forgets when he tried to strong-arm Clark into accepting his destiny. Do we really want a hero that accepted his destiny only because if he didn't, his crazy phantom father would kill one of his friends/family. They've just taken this the wrong direction.

Clark is a kid, Jor-El is just sending him to clean his room. That's wut all fathers do! Push their son to become a whole lot stronger. JOr-El is a good man aite? GOOD MAN!!

The Jor-El AI is just sadistic and psycho. I can't blame Clark for not listening to it, and after this episode and another "punishment", I hope he NEVER does. The AI says flat out that it DOESN'T CARE about helping people. So, please explain to me what Clark should be learning from this sadistic, cold, compassion-less machine? How to be a robot and follow cryptic orders? From an AI thats killed people, abused him, brainwashed him, put his father in a coma?
Yes, Clark made a mistake, and guess what? Clark also fought back and fixed his mistake. The Fortress is fine. The world is fine. The only lasting problem was Kara, and Jor-El, who Clark is supposed to listen to, refuses to help find her. And now, he's going to punish Clark again? Wow, abusive a**hole father much? Thats really going to teach Clark to listen to him, and form a bond, isn't it? "Ah Dad, remember when you branded me? Good times"
Clark makes mistakes. He thinks with his heart. He has compassion. Personally, I don't want to lose those human qualities because it seems to be what seperates him from the rest of the psycho kryptonians.
Except Kara, she seems to be cut from the same cloth as Clark, so she's cool so far.

To Clark Jor-El is still just a disembodied voice. His father was Jonathon, and it was Jor-El who ultimately destroyed his father (even though it was in reaction to the BDA's actions). On many levels I can't blame Kal-El for being defiant of the voice. He knows he needs the Fortress, and while he may know Jor-El is his father, he does not know his father.
