Yeah but Chloe doing...something??? I mean besides stcking her nose on others peoples life that's it...

I mean how you can ACTUALLY compare Lois, WORKING and yes having an affair (btw not happy with that either) but working and AHEM "take olsen the next time" with Chloe serving as ...as ..as how do you define a persone who only porpuse apprently is...I don't know not having a life and only serving in other people plots.....????

I guess that thelame power wasn't enough to keep the focus in SUEllivan

Sticking her nose in other people's life... when she needed to talk to grant and walked in on Grois making out on a desk? Lois is lucking it was Chloe who saw them... and she WARNED Lois... trying to be a good cousin for her and Lois still LIED to Chloe...

And sorry my friend... WORKING does not include making out of the boss... Also... another Article she loses... the eclipse one... Sooo Lois is once again unable to get an article published and crap... funny isn't it? This episode is evident that EDLois is NOT Iconic Lois Lane.

Bad Chloe warned her cousin which was doing big mistake that could destroy her career :rolleyes:
But because it's Lois who is doing mistake we have to say that Chloe was sticking her nose into other people plot.
Did it ever happen to you that in Smallville most of plots are somehow tied together?

I'm not saying she isn't ILL. I liked LL in Superman movie and L&C series but I can't hardly stand her after last few episodes.
I'm not for Chlois theory but I'm starting to think that Chloe and Lois has some other cousin named Lois that will be the true Lois in the future.

^^ good for you and NEWS FLASH THLois had a relationship with a Luthor. Whatever the circinstances she had it. And NEWS FLASH Lois Lane is not a saint..nor a martyr nor Chloe. And she doesn't know he is a luthor so frankly you can't say lois is sleeping with a Luthor knowing all the facts.

So he relationship with "Grant" is not compromising her task of briging down the Luthors (if she is still doing it that's it....cause we don't know if she is pulling off a SUEllivan.....well Lois actually has a reason for not publishing anything about the Luthors...Grant is not allowing it....but what was Chloe's excuse again????? on season 6???? )

And YES thank you she is my BELOVED Lois.

It's not about having relationship with Luthor but she's dating her editor. She just started her career in DP. It doesn't look good. It's compromising all her work she has done.
No Lois isn't saint but I can't imagine THLois to risk her career just because sexual attraction to her boss.

Well, I've watched the scenes and agree that Lois looks like a total idiot. From not knowing how to type, to continuing on with the affair, etc.
However, I'm willing to go with the story and see how it turns out, there must be at least one redeeming quality from all of this.

But just so we're perfectly clear, ILL was never a saint.
Additionally, I stand by what I said before on the Chlois theory and that is if EDLois turns into a dancing sack of potatoes, she would still be Lois Lane.

Yes but TH was an established reporter is logical she won't risk her carrer.

And I say this again: where did I say I think Lois Grant is a good thing and that I totally support it and that I am sooooo happy with Lois now??

They were okay. No bad scenes, but no great scenes either.

Chloe was a friend to Clark. She helped him when he needed help.

Chloe used her phone, mentioned her Yaris again, and we also see in one scene just how much TW really towers over AM.

I think that this whole season has really been lacking in the Chlark department... it saddens me. But even though this epi didn't focus on them at all, it still makes me happy that it made Lightswitch Lois look even worse that she already did. Chloe is my fav. character and yeah, I want my Chlark, but even if I don't get it I will be content that Chloe is way better than this version of Lois.

Yeah, I absolutely feel the same way. I'm very sad too that Chlark hasn't been too great this season but at least the season just started. Plus even though I do like Lois as a character and I don't really believe that Chloe will ever be Lois, I still think Chloe is a much better match to iconic Lois than Smallville's Lois will ever be.

I can't help but wonder after all these most recent episodes, if thats the entire point and just how tptb want the audience to feel. Especially if its true tptb were forced to introduce her on the show when they didnt want to so now their unleashing their wrath...

But hey, you never know, they could be exceptional storytellers trying to bring some originality- or they could just be plain stupid. :lol: Or a little of both.

I've wondered the same about the possibility that what they are doing to Lois is intentional. There is no way I could even attempt to list all the ways that they have made Lois look bad or have lightswitched her. In this epi alone they said she was a bad speller, she can't type, got turned down for ANOTHER article and she is sleeping with her editor, though we knew the first two things already.

I don't think so. All I can remember is Grant turning down her articles. It seems to me like Lex may have had Grant hire Lois intentionally to keep her from investigating Lex. Grant keeps on telling her to stay away from the Luthors and keeps on sending her away to do research... And wasn't Lois looking into Lex a lot recently? Now Lex can control whether or not her articles get published too.

Well we know that the tptb have to make every scene and script count. They CONSCIOUSLY put together every episode....so we must know that it is all adding up to something.

Nobody on this show is iconic anyone.

But the Smallville Lois looks like Lois, kicks butt at times like Lois and can't spell like Lois (well, Lois and Clark Lois).

I'm just glad she's not sleeping with Perry *shudder*

Which is not to say I don't like Chloe. I think she's a great addition to the family. I just don't see any way that she could be secretly 'Lois'.

So, when's Clark going to fall for Lori Lemaris?

I don't think Chloe is secretly Lois. But I do think tptb are intentionally trying to make her appear more morally grounded and easier to sympathize with than *this* SVLois- for what reason who knows.

As for Lori Lemaris, well just like you said- no one is staying true to their iconic selves on Smallville, its just bits and pieces here and there twisting old mythos around. So I'll take it as an AU and say give me Chlark.

Lois is either 24 or 25. During the first season when they first started talking about Chloe's cousin, without mentioning her name. She was a freshman in college, and Chloe was supposed to stay with her at her dorm.

Then they introduced her in Gone, the second episode of season 4 she mentions her mom dying when she was six, and that after 15 years her father was finally getting some action, in regards to thinking Nellie Bly was her father's new girlfriend, not realizing it was Chloe's alias. Which would make her 21 if you do the math.

The problem came when they decided to keep her character around, they needed an explanation for her staying in Smallville after saving Chloe. So they rettconned her backstory and had her just starting college, but they yanked her acceptance. But they have yet to clarify if she's still 24 now, or back to being 22.which would make her sister only a couple of years younger than her, rather than the huge age difference of 5-6 years that has was infered.

But they haven't reclarified her age, so at this point it stilll stands that she's 24.

What's even freakier is that Julian/Grant supposedly died when Lex was 12. So, yeah, that would make Clark like 3 years older than him and Grant just out of high school. Figure that one out.

Actualy, Clark is even more than 3 years older than Julian. I mean, isn't Lex only like 6 years older than Clark? So, wouldn't Clark be like 6 years older than Julain??? That would make Julian/Grant 15 years old...LOL

Yes, I did the math wrong on Julian's age. Lex is six years older than Clark, and Clark is six years older than Julian. So Julian's 15, Lex is 27, Clark is 21, and Lois is 24. Which mean's Lois is screwing around with a 15 year old. Making her a pedophile in the state of Kansas lol.

Yeah, I thought that the Chlark moments were short and sweet. I did, however, have issues with how Chloe used the word "normal" to describe Clark being without powers. Clark with powers = normal. Clark without powers = bad news. Chloe should know that by now. (Especially in light of her newfound PCness regarding those with special abilities.)

Lois deserved the tough love that Chloe gave her, I agree. I thought that Chloe was spot on with everything she pointed out to Lois -- I would have said the same thing in her place to my own cousin.

Yeah... what I did like about the use of the word "normal" was that I was then watching a scene about Clark struggling to not be normal at whatever cost. I wish I could hope that this will lead to something new but... *sigh*

Actually if you go back to the episode in L&C where Lois gives the 3 rules to Clark. One was of not dating someone whom she works with or for... Then admited that she did break that rule before in her life. It was the scene where Lois was tied up with Clark on some pole. So this is Smallville's writers weird attempt have this Lois do something similar too. They are all making mistakes and are not teenagers anymore but its their journey to the "end mark" that the writers are telling.

However, just because Lois is having this affair with her Editor which by in Superman Returns, Richard was some kind of editor as well, doesn't I like it or wanted it to happen either. So I am with you guys on not approving this thing with Julian. But I still enjoy watching Lois.
