What about the embezzlement? Clark already knows. As far as the audience knows, there isn't anything to hide between Clana anymore. Now Lana is fighting her way back from the 'brink of evil' and Clark is going to be there every step of the way to help her.

She doesn't get engaged to Lex in the future, unless you're talking about Lois and Clark the New Adventures of Superman TV show. That doesn't happen in the comic canon, Animated Series or the movies.

I disagree. Lara was very sweet and kind towards Lana....it was wonderful to watch. She knew Lana is currently struggling right now and gave her words of support and encouragement...telling Lana not to let the "darkness overpower the goodness" in her....that she "must fight it". I loved and enjoyed that scene very much.

^ Thanks for starting the thread! I am glad Clark and Lana are still together....I absolutely loved their brief scenes together...Clark asking Lana to keep his mother company and of course the final Clark and Lana scene in which they show so much love and support for one another...it was great!

I like all three female leads. Chloe's probably my favorite, though I also like Lana and Lois. I actually like her a lot more ever since they went the more complex route with her character. And I was even a fairly ardent supporter of Clana... about 4 or 5 years ago. That's the problem. It's not that I inherently dislike Lana. It's that I'm bored of it. TV shows need to keep themselves fresh if they want to be interesting in their 7th season. One way Smallville's successfully done that is by continuously changing up the regular cast. One MAJOR problem they have, though, is that they just keep regurgitating the same old plotlines. Clana is the most obvious one.

For me, it's getting dull. I've seen them happy. I've seen them sad. I've seen them lying to one another. Now I've even seen them honest (mostly). I even saw them raise an exploding baby. And I've seen most of those things several times. I am more than ready to see something new, be it a new girlfriend for CK or no girlfriend at all (a state which isn't necessarily a bad thing; Clark would be showing at least a little maturity and growth to admit he might need to be on his own right now).

I think he would be better off by himself for a little while. He needs to find out more about who he is before he can start any relationship or it's going to be doomed for disaster.

Correct boingo & darkone, by dislike of Lana *is influencing* my views of Lana. I did took that 'the darkness in her' for seeing her past actions.

He knows that Lana is hanging on by a thread: he's hoping that by being around her and being supportive, he won't lose her the way he lost Lex. But she's also hurt him rather unbearably: the lost look on his face at the end of Wrath made that episode for me. Long story short: he's not going to kick her off the farm but I see them gradually realising that the great romance is not in the cards for themselves. And hopefully they'll part ways as friends, with regrets (ever growing on her side) for what might have been.

I agree, i completely see them gradually growing apart...I feel as though, Lana doesn't really grasp what an amazing thing she finally has now with Clark...

Her Revenge towards Lex is soo strong right now...
I'm sure shes happy shes with Clark, but thats not her focus @ the moment she probably feels like "yea, Clark will always be there" She really hasn't clued into (Currently) what a beautiful thing she has, and unfortunatly I feel as though it won't REALLY hit her until its too late and its over between them, of course they will be friends but when they break apart officially thats when I think it will truely hit Lana, that she should have focus her attention on more important things like her Relationship with the man she loves more then ever, not just taking him for granted.

I disagree with all of the above lol

Clark and Lana's relationship is one of the things I enjoy most about this show....of course there are some things that I wish would have been written differently but that goes for pretty much EVERYTHING, at one point or another, regarding this show....all of the characters/couples/plots have given me plenty of "what the H***" frustrating moments lol Anyway, Clark and Lana are my two favorite characters and I have enjoyed the many amazing and beautiful moments, scenes, and episodes of them over the years.

We hope. Al/Miles say it's going to end all the time, but it never does.

Craig posted an interview from Al Gough during season 5 where he said Clana was supposed to end forever and permanently in episode 100, but it kind of got strung out over the next several episodes. Which is why Clark called Lana his girlfriend in Cyborg.

But don't count on your victory...if they were still really all fine and dandy, I don't think Clark would be starting to realize Pinky's "darker side". And let's not even get started on his own mother, Lara, noticing that icky darkness in the pink princess...Pinky's starting to go downhill folks!!!!!!

shes darker yes, and im happy Clark is realizing people grow and change and that they aren't prefect, Lana has flaws, its refreshing to see Clark finally noticing that fact and stop idolizing her and putting her on a pedestal because she isn't perfect, hes been setting HIS OWN SELF up to be hit by this reality :rolleyes: so the fact that they are STILL together, dispite the rose colored glasses coming off, it makes me very VERY happy!! :D
