View Full Version : Plothole? Angela/Nathan should have known all along Peter was alive

So, when Peter explodes and Nathan is falling from the sky, Peter grabbed him and took him to a hospital.
How come Angela didn't notice this?? Who did she think had brought Nathan to the hospital?
I mean, it was clear Nathan could have never done it by himself, he was nearly dead. Besides, the Hospital staff saw that Peter brought him in... so didn't they tell Angela or Nathan about this?
I think this was very odd...
On the other side, I must also note that Bob told Peter when they were in the Company office that the best doctors were taking care of Nathan. One could assume that the Company had somehow infiltrated in the Hospital and was taking direct care of him, so they could have cheated Angela / Nathan into believing something else... but for them to beleive a lie, it should have been a serious lie involving another individual who could fly (and rescue Nathan), or another power. This would have prevented mostly Angela from raising any type of suspicion.
But in other words, it's a blank too wide to fill, and I think this whole issue was poorly delivered, and I'll think it's a big plothole, unless someone really clears it up for me.

When Peter handed off Nathan to the hospital staff, they took him away, the security officer tried to talk to Peter, but he vanished, so no positive identity was established and from how frantic the scene was, no one really got to see him.
However.
Most hospitals have video surveillance systems, and that is where the plot hole could be unless the Company got the video, there would be a recording of him.

But I'm not talking specifically about the identity. Someone, no matter who it was, handed Nathan in to the Hospital. That someone should have been able to grab him from the sky, because else Nathan would have smashed against the pavement.
So it doesn't matter if they recognized this someone, or if the surveillance video was stolen. The nurses knew a person took Nathan in, and that disappeard misteriously, so instantly Angela should have 99% known that it had to be Peter.
Why is everyone so certain that Angela doesn't know Peter is alive? I think she does…

I thought that too... but it's very confusing.
Anyway, Nathan at least should have wondered how he ended up in a hospital when he was falling from the skies, and didn't brutally hit the floor.

My guess Angela knew from the beginning that Peter was still alive and probably knew where was her son aswell.I won't be suprised to learn that the woman is involved in the compagny.

I think that Angela guessed that Pete was alive, but wanted to keep this from Nathan to have more influence over him. However, seein as how Bob did not approve of Angela and Linderman's plan, I doubt that he told her about the Company's involvement.

I think she knows too. If anything - Ma Petrelli is a good manipulator or persuader if you think that's her power. I think that she knows Peter is alive and that she might have known that the Haitian would assist her again or maybe she just knew where he was.
The Haitian has a mind bond with HRG - He might also have that with Ma Petrelli. In which case, she would know what he knew. And what's more - I think Ma Petrelli is working with Bob because that would explain some of the details of how things were working behind the scenes.
As for who dropped Nathan off. Well, to the hospital staff - they only know that Nathan has been burned. No one has told them that he is burned due to his brother exploding - so no one would think - hey how did this dude survive falling out of the sky - because no one knew that information. You heard Bob - not one mention of what happened in that square or the explosion in the newspapers or on tv - they covered it.
As for the security vids - I think the company or Ma Petrelli took care of that as well. No loop hole there for me - just Ma Petrelli being too much of a manipulator in her sons' lives.

I don't remember Bob mentioning Angela ever - he mentions Linderman with disgust. So the jury is still out for me - I think Ma Petrelli was working both sides of the fence on this one.

I want to know what their explanation was to how Nathan just miraculously healed all of his skin so fast. What they didn't realize that yesterday he was all burnt and half dead then the next he was perfectly normal. One of them should have at least thought of Peter saving him.

Y'all are forgetting that Nathan very clearly believed that Peter was still alive in the beginning of the season and hated mommy dearest because he thought that she was an evil lying "female dog". It was only after that she was attacked that he decided to put those feelings aside and truely focus on things in the here and now that he had some control over, like get to the bottom of who was attacking his mother. Yes, he may think she's evil, but she is still his mother and if she's in danger then that trumps all especially since it's what Peter would want him to do.

Yeah but she seems to be on the outs with the company so I don't think she knows that they snatched Peter and then lost him when he planned a jailbreak with Adam/Kensei.
