I don't understand this guy.....

Wasn't he running from The Company last season?
Didn't he help Pete\Nathan's mom?

So how is he working for the company 4 months ago when he was theoretically running from them?

And if he was working for Mrs. Petrelli, how come he doesn't tell her that Pete's alive?

And at what point is he in Haiti all sick that Mohinder needs to save him?

Somebody help me with this confusion

I think that HRG made it look like the Haitian shot him so he could stay in kahoots with the company. I am not sure what happened between the time he helped Peter (locked him in that cargo box) to when he got sick and was back in Haiti and then he was working with HRG again. I don't think the company knows he is working with HRG, or if they do, he probably just erases their memory of it?

He was running from the guy Eric Roberts was impersonating, but who wasn't one of the bosses at the company. Last season the Haitian told Mr Bennet that he was answering to someone more powerful within the Company than Bennet. I believe he was referring both to Angela Petrelli (whom he wasn't really working for, but towards whom he felt gratitude for having helped him in the past - he said something like that last night) and Bob. Bob didn't agree with how Linderman behaved: he said it last night when he mentioned to Nikki he was there to clean the mess Linderman had created.

I'm sure that as soon as Bob stepped in to clear the mess after the events in Kirby Plaza, he also cleared the Haitian's name within the Company, that's why the Haitian was there when Peter woke up at the Company next to Elle and Bob.

He didn't tell Angela Petrelli about Peter being alive because I think Bob asked him not to. As long as Peter was in his room at the Company he wasn't in danger and wasn't dangerous, so the Haitian might have preferred to delay telling Mrs Petrelli about him. Maybe even the Haitian thought that the Company was helping Peter to get rid of his powers and it was only when Peter escaped that he had some doubts and decided to give him a second chance.

Why he got infected with the virus and was found in Haiti is not clear. He could have voluntarily infected himself in order to stop hunting people with abilities (when Mohinder found him he did say that the virus was God's way of punishing him for the way he had used his gift - the wrong way) and then travelled back to his home country to dye away from the Company.

After Mohinder cured him, he was on the run and we haven't seen him interact with Bob at all.

No, he's not stupid enough to think that the Company was trying to help Peter get rid of his powers. I think it went like this...

HRG went to great lengths to be keep the Haitian in the clear (at some point, I was hoping the topic title was to address that he has a name, but I digress) with the Company last season. So while he continued to pose as if he was working for them, he's always kept a separate and noble agenda. He goes according to what he thinks is best. He only erased Peter's memory so that hopefully he wouldn't pop up and attract the company's attention. Unfortunately, Bob's little girl Elle is a sadistic sociopath that sees the world as her own personal sandbox, so I'm pretty sure the Haitian realizes that the Company is flawed at best. Since we now know that the Company created and/or harvested the virus in the first place, I think Bob infected the Haitian after Peter and Adam flew the coop, as there had been a few too many defections with him around...

Interesting... but it doesn't explain why Bob asked Mohinder to go to Haiti and save the Haitian's life with his blood in episode 1..

Hmmmm....true enough. Then again, maybe Bob was using the Haitian as a guinea pig. Then again-again, I don't see why they'd use a valuable asset as a guinea pig...questions, questions, questions...

But wasn't The Company pissed at the Haitian last season cuz he wiped HRG's mind of Claire. HRG pretended to be with The Company and the Haitian went AWOL, right?

right, but I view the Company as a multi-head animal. One head - Linderman - was pissed with him, other heads - Mrs Petrelly and Bob - weren't.

Because the Haitian ran back to Haiti after he wiped Peter's memory. That's why he felt he "abused" his abilities.
