Why for the love of god did they put those 2 in this flashback? Their storyline is the most uninteresting storyline I've had to watch since this season started. The only good out of it was the appearance of Sylar, but even that has lost its appeal. I felt it has in some ways has taken from the others. For them to add them into the mix this episode felt like the PTB were trying to get us to accept them. Anyone else bothered by this? Speak on in...
well, maybe they won't make it to the next vol..... fingers crossed.
I agree...their storyline is the equiv to Niki's storyline from season 1 - (and now seemingly again with Vol 2).

Be grateful they spent the least amount of time on them.

They finally get into America and they still can't get out of Latin America. :\ Their plot is stupid.

Which is something I'm glad about.
If their ability really is the cure for the virus, then just have Sylar take some of their blood and have Mohinder get it from him later. They need to die.

Their powers would be so much more useful if the characters
at least had some depth and character development.
Not repeating the same lines every episode they're in.
I mean it.
episode 1:
"Oh God!"
"Calm down."
Episode 2:
"Oh God!"
"Calm down."
And they said the same thing tonight.
It's like the writers want us to hate them by not putting
any effort whatsoever into the wonder twins story.
They just recycle every week.
Useless is an understatement.

I have a feeling after Volume 2 is up and they are (very likely to be) dead that we'll have the same thing we have with Niki this year in contrast to last year. This year we have lots of "where's Niki, I <3 Niki" whereas no one did anything but complain about her last year. I'd bet 50 bucks that we'll get some of that with Maya y Alejandro after they're gone.

I read in an interview with one of the writers, (if I can find the actual article I'll reference it) that they now realize that they screwed up the first segment of Season 2.
They said fans weren't responding to all of the new characters suddenly thrust into the storyline (West, Maya & Alejandro, etc.) without proper introduction.
They now know that the fans want more screentime for the core Heroes, and dropping of several new characters.

Really? I've hated Niki from the first moment I saw her. I still hate her now.
The problem I had with her last year is her story didn't tie into anything until like four episodes before the season ended. And they spent way too much time on her story. A total waste of screentime.
This season, I hate her because all she does is whine. I'm glad she's been kept to a minimum this season, but she's still annoying. "I can't control Jessica/Gina!" Wah, wah, wah.

I thought they were going to explain what happened to Sylar. What gives? They show the twins instead!?

It was necessary for the story. We had to see why they were fleeing Mexico. I know they annoy people, but I think Maya's brother will bite the dust soon.

good maya is annoying but not as nearly as annoying as alejandro though that might just be because i think the actress playing her is cute they either need to die or be captured by the company so they will quit whinning about a stupid power.
Though I have a feeling alejandro is gonna be able to block other abilities if/when he gets stronger. Maybe Sylar will try to kill them and alejandro stops him temporarily sylar is hard to kill after all.

I think the reason they didn't show his story, nor the Bennett (Butler) family's story is that we know what happened with them.
The Bennetts went into hiding and have been doing their best to keep a low profile.
Sylar's been recuperating for the past four months in a remote location in Mexico with the perception-altering girl, pretty obviously at the behest of the Company.

That was in the EW Kring mini interview - where he's responding to the fans complaints - Thread here (http://kryptonsite.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=81668)

Someone (someone please take your credit for this) said once on Kryptonsite:
"Maya bores me to black tears, and Alejandro bores me to clear tears again..."
And that pretty much sums up how I feel about these two...

My guess is Sylar had the same threatment that Peter had.The compagny took him aswell, made him a prisonner, the haitian took his powers off and they decided to put him on guard(Candide)who played with his mind a little but,not for long, they gave him some medication while he was there(it was to stop his powers). He was able to escape,he ended up in Mexico with Claire's car and he's on his way back to America with the wonder twins.
They are related to Peter's story at some point...Don't worry Alejendro's living days are limited. As soon as Sylar gets his powers back,he is a goner.Sylar said it himself. As for Maya,Sylar will let her live,I think he's falling for her.If Peter absorbs her power and Sylar's(Alejendro) at the same time, the powers will be cancelled,he won't die.Peter will be able to kill Adam because her power seem to effect the brain.Peter will be even more unstoppable. He will save the world :D

I don't buy the brain thing anymore.
Peter blew up like a nuke...how much of his brain could have been left?!

He didnt blow up. I mean, his body was never damaged in the explosion. Did ya see him right afterwards when he flew down to grab nathan? Did Ted's body get damaged at all when he nearly blew up last season before Claire stopped him? Nope, they put out the radiation and the explosion but their bodies do not actually explode.

I gota agree with the crowd on this one. I hate the Maya and Alejandro storyline. We already knew they were wanted for murder. We could have easily guessed that it was related to her power. We didn't need to see it all played out for us. If anything I dislike them more now. They are just creepy.
And why was Alejandro's bride with that other guy on their wedding day? She didn't marry him for his money.
And how large of a radius does this black tear virus cover anyway?
Son of Kal-El20

A large radius apparently.

I'm pretty sure Peter did get caught in the explosion due to the numerous times they said in first season he "could heal from it".
Besides that, I'm damn sure I was looking at Kensei's toasted corpse, and he looks just fine.

I hate the twins and wish they would both just go away. it was horrible to have to watch them tonight without Sylar to balance out their intense lameness.
I liked Nikki last season just fine, because she was crazy and tearing people in half. This season she's lame.

Since the body wasn't damaged, he just "expelled" the radiation, & the pressure.
It's basically what comes down to a big, loud, radioactive fart. :\
