What did you think of the new episode?
I gave it a 10. I think that it did a good job at filling in most of the blanks from 4 months - even though we kinda knew some stuff it really showed us more into the characters meeting and coming together.
It also re-introduced Adam and showed how Peter came to be in the box. Showed why Nathan was having some tough times with the facial scars. Gave a little bit more to why Elle acts the way she does. And gave me more reasons not to trust Bob.
The only thing that was irritating was how DL got offed so lame like that - I mean, it would have been better if he died in relation to the end-of-the-world stuff from Vol. 1 - or at the hands of Gena or something.
But overall - pretty damn good episode - the next 3 eps look awesome. I just hope the strike goes away before we run out of Heroes episodes :(

Pretty good. 7/10
The last two episodes have been good.
This episode got a point because there was no Claire or HRG. And West. *shudders*
Two points for Kristen Bell. I hope everyone is satisfied she isn't Veronica Mars. She's into BDSM, which is kinda funny.
Two points for a Peter-centric storyline.
One point for no more feudal Japan.
One point for finally tying the story to season 1.

The reason I gave it a 7/10...
Reason one: Maya and Alejandro. Minus one point.
Reason two: DL died like a b!tch. Minus one point.
Reason three: No Mohinder. Minus one point.

6/10 -- Yes, it filled in the gaps, and the performances rocked, but that's it. It left me curiously flat.

Eh...some parts I liked...some parts I didn't
The Good
~The Peter storyline...with Adam being able to heal...he's got real potential to do a turn-around. Plus their friendship was well-done....Peter's not an idiot, and still trusts Adam (even if he shouldn't)...plus the side bits with Nathan and the Haitian were good...overall well done
The Bad
~DL's death...the scene with him as a firefighter was nice and all...but I thought dying in the finale would have been more honorable...not chasing his crazy wife's latest split personality (whom I don't like for the record)
With some other little pluses at continuity...it was fair overall.....6/10

It was OK but nothing like last year. No Hiro or Claire but there was Peter which IMO are the big 3. I love Claire and her not being now in 2 episodes this year sucks. Next week I see that she will be the focal point again which is good. No Matt this week either and that sucks and too much of the wonder twins and no Sylar. The wonder twins really need to go away.
That Bob guy I really hate. I have seen him before most recently as the sheriff in Wild Hogs and he really gets on my nerves. I wish someone would off him. The other blonde is really hot but I think that she is evil. We all kind of figured that The Hatian was behind Peter's memory loss. One question though, why hasn't Peter absorbed The Hatian's power? Also why did the hot blonde with the electric power not affected by The Hatian?
I thought it was great. 9. It really tied all the events together between season 1 and now. However, I docked a point because of DL's death. Costerprincess, you hit the nail on the head. As much as I hated the idea, I still would have preferred that Linderman's bullet had killed him from last season, it would have definitely been a much more honorable death. I mean, come on, some random guy just pulls a gun on him in a night club? And then they not only don't show it, but they dedicate a whole 5 seconds to Niki's reaction (which wasn't even a believable reaction, she kind of had that "whatever" look going on) and then they move on.
Despite that though, the episode was great. I especially loved Kristen Bell in this one, I thought she fit into the role perfectly and I'm excited to see more of her.

I really liked the episode, Heroes is finally good again! I loved that they have Peter and Adam "working together" although I'm not 100% sure anymore, I still think Adam is purely using Peter.
On the other hand, YAY ELLE! She was amazing, a Heroes version of Harley Quinn, all sorts of insane, she is definitely a great character, I hope they keep her around for next season.

This episode was average. It filled in the gaps but that's about it. It probably would've been better if it showed HRG, Mohinder, or Claire instead of the twins who are just a waist of screen.
I give the episode a 8/10.

It was a great episode, but you guys didn't find at least one thing wrong with the episode?
Maya and Alejandro? The lack of Sylar? DL getting offed in a horrible way?
Nothing is perfect. That's why I never give anything a perfect 10.

Nothing is perfect. That's why I never give anything a perfect 10. I actually enjoyed the Maya/Alejandro stuff, I liked the music...it was nice...lol. And I found it amusing that Alejandro married such a skank...
But yeah DL's death was not the smartest... However it didn't really detract from my enjoyment of his offing. lol
Sylar not being in the episode is not really a reason to downgrade it I don't think, as long as what they showed in place of him worked or was enjoyable, as was the case imo.
I gave a 10 because I enjoyed the episode the whole way through. (It was entertaining despite its technical flaws, such as how DL died, which is ultimately a subjective flaw anyway, as while his death could have been smarter, stupid/easily preventable deaths happen in real life too...which I guess is the kind of end they saw fitting for DL apparently? Just goes to show you how much love and respect they had for the character, eh...lol)
TPTB: Guess what Leonard, good news and bad news for you. Which do you want first.
LEONARD: The good news please.
TPTB: The fans love you.
LEONARD: Great! So what's the bad news?
TPTB: We're killing you off.
LEONARD: Damn... Do I at least go out with a bang?
TPTB: We guarantee it!
LEONARD: Cool, that's all I ask.
(Later...Leonard reads the script for his death scene... "Aw sh**.")

I am officially in love with Elle. Kristen Bell's character is wacky and I love it. Her/Peter/Adam's storyline made it for me. 10/10 all the way!

I was not a huge fan of the kensei story line earlier in the season. I like how they brought it around and Kensei=Adam. Makes the first few episodes bearable. This episode further solitified how Heroes is great at buildup storytelling. I can further accept the earlier episodes after watching this episode. This episode was great. It did not get a ten because DL died in such a pitiful way. At least it was becuase of Niki, which explains why she would be willing to accept a death sentence.

I find it kind of cool that kensei is Adam because the first englishman to be a "samurai" was William Adams, immortalized as John Blackthorne in the mini-series Shogun.

A perfect 9!!!I loved how the even explained everything...Peter is my favorite so I was please to the max!!!I apreciated that they showed what happened when the Petrelli's brothers explosed!I loved how Peter brought Nathan to the hospital...I love the way he flew,so fast and gracefully...A real superman!!!Finally get his brother cured with Adam's blood.
People complain about the twins.Well,if they showed them on tonight episode,it's because their story is related to Sylar,Peter & Adam.Maya is probably the only one who can't stop Adam.
Ma Petrelli intrigued me.She told a major lie to her daugther.I wonder what she is up to.DL's death was lame. What was the point to let him survive his brutal fight if he was going to die the same way.

I gave it a 8/10. I like going back to see what finally happened in between but felt because they did so it halted the progress of the show. Maybe I just really don't like having to wait another week to see another episode. :)
Anyways, the only real problem I had with episode was DL's death. It just seem so meaningless. I mean, he survives the battle with Sylar and Linderman only to get shot by some two-bit thug. I was content that he died in New York saving the world. I understand why the writers did it but I still don't like it. Other than that a good show all the way around.

I had a problem with his death too.Why did they let him survived if he was going to die the same way? What's the point really? He was a firefighter,he should have died there after saving the child's life that would have been the ideal death for him.

I really liked it gave it a 9. Ratings were better than they have been.
NBC also had nothing unusual to report care of Chuck (Viewers: #3, 7.56 million; A18-49: #4, 3.0/ 7), which does not compare to year-ago occupant Deal or No Deal, Heroes (Viewers: #3, 11.07 million; A18-49: #1, 5.1/12), and Journeyman (Viewers: #3, 6.22 million; A18-49: #3, 2.5/ 6), which is waiting for the axe to swing. One year earlier, however, Heroes was considerably stronger with 15.08 million viewers and a 6.5/16 in the demo on Nov. 15, 2006.

We still don't know exactly what happened with Sylar. How did they find him and why keep him in a barn in the middle of bloody nowhere instead of in a well contained environment where they could've watched his every move night and day. Like they did with Peter.
We could've done without the Alejandro/Maya story. She kills. he brings them back. We know it.
Not even HRG and Claire and family shown moving to their new home. It would've been fun watching him on his job interview.
No Hiro, but that was to be expected, after all this was 4 months ago, not 400 years ago :D
Anyway, loved everything else. Especially the Peter / Adam / Nathan story. Still think Adam is using Peter to get his revenge with Hiro. But then again, he did had a long time to think about what happened and maybe he changed. We'll see.

Very good stuff!
I don't understand people's problems with DL and the way he was killed. Yes he could have died many times in a more imaginative way but after all he's been through he got shot in a nightclub, that's life!
At least we know now that 'the company' isn't trying to help people but collect them up and keep them out of the way.

I like the way he was killed because I think there is likely a lot more to the story of the guy who killed him. If not, so be it, but it just feels like there's something else there that they plan on exploring.

Well, than I think TPTB finally have what they wanted: with all the plotlines they already have, we still believe that there could be a new one with every person who stays in the camera view for more than 10 seconds.
But really, I think they could... but I don't think so. They just wanted to give DL a hero's funeral. That's why they made him a fireman and made him save that kid. After all it's the only way the words on his gravestone make sense to people who don't know about his special ability. To them he's a fireman who rescued a girl. A real hero as far as they're concerned.

If all they wanted to do was give him a hero's funeral they could have made him die from smoke inhalation or an unexpected explosion or something during the rescue scene. The guy with the gun was totally unnecessary unless they had something planned for him.
