I always heard that Amazon ships the stuff early, before its released, but I guess thats not the case, since I preordered months ago and they still haven't shipped me my SEASON 3! Sorry if this steps on the toes of another thread, but I was just wondering if anyone else who has pre-ordered the set has had it shipped already? This is the first one I have bought online, and I'm not sure I like the idea of having to wait for an extra week to get it....
The main reasons I ordered it through Amazon were....
A) the link thru kryptonsite, to help them make some skrillz
B) Kryptonsite has always said that amazon ships things early, so that you get them on or possibly before the actual release date.

Is anyone going to try and watch the season three set consecutively over the course of a few days? I don't mean staying up until you are finished obviously. Everyone needs sleep. But I am talking about spending whatever free time you have watching the set until you are done. I know that I probably will. I have been itching to watch season three for awhile now, and even though I have all of season three on tape, I wanted to experience it on DVD.

No one seems to know; there was supposed to be an easter egg on Season two if you put the DVD in a computer but I could never get anything to come up.

I must admit that this easter egg does sound intriguing. The question is where is it located? Hopefully after the set has been out for a few weeks, there will be a few sites with the answer to that question.

Hey guys, which discs out of all the sets do you think has the best selection of episodes on it? There are quite a few discs that have at least three great episodes on it, paired with one decent - average episode.
There are only two discs out of all the sets that I can see that has four truly great episodes consecutively.
Season 2 Disc One - Vortex, Heat, Duplicity, and Red
Season 3 Disc Five - Legacy, Truth, Memoria, and Talisman

yeah I wish Best Buy was open at 12 to buy it. I'd do it.
And Summers I bet it's a small poster. :) Unless it's folded up a whole lot. But it's free and it looks awesome!
I have to wait until December to get the last Buffy season. I have to maintain my funds for Spiderman 2 and Harry Potter and Elf (Will Ferrell rocks. gets me in the x-mas spirit!)
You're right Summers, way too many DVD's. Retailers getting ready for the holidays. But I am excited for the last Buffy season. IMO best season since Season 3. Followed closely by Season 6. Didn't care much for Seasons 4 & 5.

2. Lord of the Rings: Return of the Kind....extended edition(Already pre-ordered)
3. Smallville: Season 3....tomorrow at Best Buy.
4. The Terminal.....next week

yea, Elf is coming out too. Ferrel looks so funny in the Elf costume. oh, I just remember Daredevil's Director's Edition comes out the same day as SP2. as of tomorrow my money is going to be tapped out w/ about little over $80 dollar spent at one place. But its well worth it :).
as I recall in the Best Buy it said "poster on the back", so its probably folded as you said. I'm so giddy right now...SV and Buffy come out the same day....so glad I saved in advance.

If it is even half as good as the "Two Towers" extended edition, it will be great.
I think "the Return of the King" was my favorite of the three. I don't know though....I love them all. I love everything about LOTR. I have read all the books plus some. Tolkien was an amazing story-teller and writer.
The extended edition is going to have like 35+more minutes of film, just like the LOTR II. I have yet to see LOTR I, extended edition. I need to find someone that has that one. I bought the regular version before I knew that they were going to be bringing them out like that. After that, I always waited on the others....they are definitely worth it. Completes the Saga/epic much more.

11-15-2004, 03:16 PM
ha ha ha.
I just wait.
I cannot justify buying both.
There is no need.
If you were to ever look at the amount of money spent on DVD's.....it is staggering.
It does not halt your buying of them, but it will probably slow your buying habits a little. It did mine.
I think I have like 90 DVD's(sets counting as 1)
Sets include:
1. Looney Tunes: Golden Collection Vol. 1........4 discs
2. Smallville: Season 1
3. Smallville: Season 2
4. Simpsons: Season 2
Anyway, even if you could get all those DVD's for like $15 each, that is a ton of money. That comes out to like $1350 for me, and I have a small collection compared to some. ha ha
It is a good hobby, and if you like it, support it though. There are worse things to spend your money on, I suppose. he he.

That is awesome.
I did that with the original Star Wars Trilogy when it first came out as a trilogy. That was a pretty hefty task.
LOTR will be more so though. ha ha.
Props for that.
I think the LOTR is better than Star Wars. I like them both, but I like LOTR better. I have not read any SW books, but read a lot of LOTR books.
I need to go back and watch the first two, because I have not seen them in a while. I need to catch up. I have a lot of watching to do in the next month. ha ha.
Then, Seinfeld and a glorious bonus material.....from what I hear.

I think LOTR is (pardon the pun) light years better than the new SW trilogy (even though ep 3 trailer was awesome). Its right up there with the original. I believe that LOTR is the new star wars for this generation.....the movies are just phenomenal. Also im not sure whose ripping off whom but the battle of Pelinor fields in ROTK is almost indentical to the Battle of Hoth in Empire. Just substitute the ATAT's with the Olliphants, and the rebel star fighters with the Roherium. Even luke and legolas do basically the same thing by taking down the baddies by themselves. Seriously go watch each battle and you'll see what i mean.
Spoon AZ
11-15-2004, 03:52 PM
Well LOTR was just much more consitent.
There was no changing of directors, no 3 years between films, and a coherent story from the second it was went before cameras.
Star Wars had not clear path when started, spaced the movies out way too far, and had different directors with different visions.
LOTR was just executed better and is all films are equally good and carry the same tone while SW jumps all over the place.

It has been a while since I have seen Empire Strikes Back. I will have to check it out.
I can see the resemblances though.
I guess I just like the names better, and the fantasy is better/more magical to me. The "force" is kind of magical, but I never liked the premise of it too much. They didn't go into it enough in the movies....just that it was there.

Yes, Continuity was much better.
However, I thought George Lucas himself directed all of the SW movies?
Plus, we are comparing 2000's graphics to 1979-85 graphics. That is not really fair. I was just referring to the storyline too.
Since J.R.R. Tolkien wrote everything there is about LOTR, it is very consistent. Most of what he wrote in his lifetime revolved around this ficticional place, Middle Earth. That is just too cool. Not only did he create a place, but everything that he wrote about, took place in this made-up place.
If you enjoyed those, I would recommend reading the Hobbit and the Silmarilian, also by Tolkien. They are great!
I actually read the Hobbit before I watched the 2nd and 3rd movie in the theater. I saw the first one in the theater, then, went out and bought all the books. Started with the Hobbit, and went from there. After that, I couldn't get enough. I read the Silmarilian. It tells of the creating of Middle Earth and how everything got to be the way it is in LOTR times. Very cool.

i was about to say the topic thing as well
got a little worked up.
Well I finally scored my first true Smallville conversion.
I've been trying to get my roommates to become die-hards for the past 4 months but they've only become casual fans. I tried.
But my best friend in my old hometown that knows how much I like the show, combine my constant praise of the show and his love for Dukes of Hazzard (go John Schneider!), he finally started catching the show on ABC family. He didn't want to watch the new ones because he wanted the backstory.
The obsession began to grow.
So he'd been emailing and calling me to fill in the blanks for him of what he missed or what was going on.
Finally he gave in. He called me about an hour ago and said he just got a Best Buy Card is going to buy all three seasons tomorrow and watch it uninterrupted from the beginning!
Finally I have one of my closest friends that I can now obsess with about Smallville. Tomorrow is going to be a good day!
Where's the cheapest place to get the third season? And for how much?

Best Buy is the best price that I have seen around.
I saw it in there for like $39.99 or so. You get a free poster with Christopher Reeve and Tom Welling on it together. It looks to be pretty cool.
They are getting more expensive.
I guess the demand is greater right now or something.

I paid $35.99 for my set through a Columbia House DV2 account and got $2 funcash. I hope it arrives this week and not next. All of season 3 will be new to me.

Hey Guys I have The DVD & The poster (the post is really cool, ) First off I didn't get the poster from Blockbusters, I got it from my Brother, I'll explain real this morning whlie I was watching Smallville & having my breakfast, the doorbell rings, I answer it And another good friend of mine that works at Best Buy near my house, Came and asked if my little brother was up yet, I said no then My bro speeds down the stairs & cut's right infront of me in the doorway,I go back into the livingroom to finsh eat & watching smallville, My brother then comes in and is hold a bag,& teseing me that he got it. I asked him got what he plugs out of the bag another Season three dvd, I laugh at him. I then press play on the Dvd then the smallville scene came up & I showed him & told him that me and my father had got it last night, he got upsit a bit because he had save his money to get , he told me, I asked him which store he got it from. He said from Best Buy, I asked him to show me the bag inside their was The poster. Mom came down and we explained what happend , She said that we could only keep one. My brother & me dediced to keep the one we payed cheep for & keep the poster, So he's going to give the other one that not opened to one of his friends at school. In the end me & mom chep in & pay him back what he spent, so now I got the poster which looks Awsome!
As for the Dvd here's what I have to say {Note I'm not going to tell you every detail like the last time for those who don't have the Dvd yet.]
My first impression when I opened up the packaging was one of surprise. It would seem the powers that be at the WB do listen at least to some of their fans requests! While season two was flimsily packaged, forcing the owner to pry out one disc to get at another, the third season has reverted to the stronger type, one disc per casing design used by season one. It’s a much ‘safer’ idea for the discs, and much easier to get them out without being some kind of magician.
The WB has also managed to get the infamous ‘booklet’ into the box set too. (At least in my set there is)
As for the spiecal Feautres
The ‘Exile’ and ‘Memoria’ commentaries were by far the most interesting for me. Michael Rosenbaum’s remarks lifted the whole thing to a different level.(he is really funny)
There’s also a teaser comment made during the ‘Exile’ commentary that may link to spoilers for the season four episode ‘Unsafe’. Some of you may like this idea. Some will most definitely not. I’ll say no more until you hear it for yourselves.
The ‘Truth’ Commentary was very slow for me. John Glover doesn’t seem to have a lot to say, and leaves most of the talking to Allison and James Marshall.
I would have liked to have seen Tom, or Annette O’Toole/John Schneider do at least one of the commentaries.(I loved Tom's in season 2 he was funny.)
On the season two set my favourite addition was the gag reel. It was plain hilarious. This time though, unless I missed a whole chunk of them - and I don’t think I did there is not ONE outtake involving Tom Welling! . Michael Rosenbaum, the set prankster takes up most of the gag reel(Which I still enjoyed)
The SMALLVILLE: The Heroes Behind the Camera (behind-the-scenes production documentary)was great, My dad enjoyed that one.
The Deleted Scenes I enjoyed too
Deleted Scenes: "Exile" and "Slumber"
Deleted Scenes: "Shattered"
Deleted Scenes: "Velocity," "Obsession," "Resurrection," and "Crisis"
Deleted Scenes: "Memoria"
Deleted Scenes: "Talisman" and"Forsaken"
As for The Chloe Chronicles nice way to end off with Pete & MB(ops wasn't suppose to tell you that.)
The Chloe Chronicles: Volume II (webisodes)
Smallville Comic Book Issue #8 (menu based - interactive comic book - bridges the story between Chloe Chronicles 6 & 7)
So All in all I like the Dvd the cover didn't do it for me because it wercked the patner from season 1, but hey thanks to another go friend who is art desginer, He made one silmalr to The Fan art one with Clark facing metoropils in color which is petty cool. So instead of My cover being purple It yellow with Clark look at Metroplis.

The easter egg is on Disc 5. I haven't found it yet , but I'm pretty sure that if you put Disc 5 on your computer (if you have a DVD ROM) you'll find ,Because in the spider-man dvd had a some other features that you only could see on the computer & not on the dvd player so my guess is it the same for Smallville.

Guys I found the easter egg!!
Go to disc 5.
Then go to the special features.
Go to where it says Producing Smallville..... and when you see the word "camera" make sure the cursor is right next to it. Then use the direction pad and click right. It will then show a Superman logo. Click on the logo.
It consists of Michael Rosenbaum interviewing a crew member and asking him a variety of different questions. It was pretty funny and entertaining.

I want one!
Maybe if I complain enough about it, they will get me one.
It was online and in their flier in Sunday's paper. They said they would have a minimum of 20. From what I gathered, they never got any.
I am bummed about the poster, but pumped about the DVD's.

I JUST GOT MY SET! WOO HOO!
But I had to go back to work. So I can't watch until tonight. But I opened it up and looked at the packaging. Sweeeeeet.
AND NO FREAKIN' POSTER!
They gave me some B.S. "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" magic-ticket story about the poster.
They said "The manufacturer put it in certain boxes of the DVD's so we don't know which ones have them and which don't! And some good little boy or girl will be lucky enough to open their box and get a poster!"
I wasn't so nice. I wasn't mean but I was like, "well why did they advertise this then? How do I even know any of these have the poster? I should've went to Target."
Then I asked if I could call Best Buy mgmt or The WB with my receipt and get a poster. They said "yeah" but I think they just wanted to get rid of me.
I'm usually such a nice guy too.
EDIT: I just called WB DVD customer service and they blamed Best Buy mgmt and told me to talk to them to get my poster and BB mgmt said vice versa.
This whole thing is making Hulk mad.

The places around the US and here in AZ didn't run out, they either didn't ever have them, are hording them (grrrrr), or are packaged in DVD sets with no way to distinguish which set has a poster and which doesn't.

For those who have the DVD was anyone kinda disturbed by the foreword in the insert of Season 3 from TPTB?
It said "How the hell are we going to come up with 22 new episodes?"
Not exactly optimists are they? And then they said they owe everything to the writers that breathe and eat the show. Shouldn't TPTB feel and do the same?

Since no one seemed to notice this before, I thought I would say it again.

I just finished watching "Truth" and I switched the commentary on and off during it.. Allison Mack and John Glover were as great on it as I expected them to be. It makes me regret even more that they weren't apart of the Season 2 set.
Hopefully they'll be apart of the 4th season set with the rest of the cast.. especially Rosenbaum.. the three of them together would probably make a really fun commentary track :)

Has anyone been able to get the DVD-ROM features? Because, like with S2, I think they just say that there are extra features, but there aren't.
And I'm so sad at how very little we see Tom Welling in the extra features. He's not in any of the bloopers :(
But I really enjoyed the "Truth" commentary. It was a lot of fun :) Allison Mack rocks, she's always talking!

About Kristin on the Season 2 commentaries... I know some people are being hard on her but take two things into account.
One, KK and I think it was Greg Beeman were recording from a totally different place than Tom and Michael were. So if her reactions to them were a little off or slow, it's because she wasn't seeing or hearing them directly!
Two, I hear Kristin was spending most of the time giggling at Tom and Michael's antics. I mean, if one of your friends was imitating Gollum you'd be laughing too.
I just think people are being a little hard on her here, and I'm sure if it had been a different situation, she would have shone. It seems KK is a shy girl, sure, but still, I think the reason for a lot of her silence was just because of all the giggling.

I might be wrong about this.. but I swear Tom and Kristin were recording in a different place than Michael and Beeman. Because I remember at some point during either the "red" or "rosetta" commentary they were both saying how they couldn't hear Michael or Beeman.

DVD DEFECT? Hey guys, I bought season 3 from Walmart and when I got home, I started watching the Skinny Dipping scene from SLUMBER. I noticed that my dvd kept messing up in certain shots, the top of the screen became distorted slightly. So, I took it back and exchanged it for another set. Well, the same exact thing happened in the same exact places.
So, could some of you check yours and watch the opening skinny-dipping scene and see if yours is also this way?

Man, over on Amazon, the season three set for Smallville has already gone into the "special order" category. It is ranked #16 overall. There must have been a lot of preorders because I have never seen a TV DVD set go onto special order status that quickly. Season three is definately selling better than seasons one and two. It should too, because season three was the best season out of the three in my opinion. Both seasons one and two were great, but season three was somehow even better.

Best Buy in Jersey SUCKS big time…they didn’t have the DVD/w poster & didn’t know anything about. I called their headquarters customer service & they just give me an asinine answer… & then the guy asked me if he could help me some more today. I told him you didn’t even help me with the first problem. What a run around.
I also sent a complaint e-mail to them, I doubt it will help but I had to try. I was just ticked off that they advertised the poster & when you get there they are like “whaaa…poster”.
S2 DVD was much better/funnier, it was worth the money.
The S3 DVD was disappointing as far as the gag reel & no TW. Not worth the cash or waking up early to be the first at the store.

It said "How the hell are we going to come up with 22 new episodes?"
Not exactly optimists are they? And then they said they owe everything to the writers that breathe and eat the show. Shouldn't TPTB feel and do the same?
I'm a big supporter of TPTB but I found that whole statement kind of pompous and heartless.

Yes I agree. In addition to being very quiet and having just about nothing to say, KK gave off an air of indifference and disinterest during the season 2 commentaries. There's a difference between being shy (for example, TW is shy and yet was professional and delightful on the commentaries), and behaving as KK did.
So I don't miss her at all on the season 3 collection. I do miss Tom though and wish he'd been included.

I agree that it is kind of weird that they have Michael Rosenbaum doing commentary on an episode that primarily centered around Clark. They got it right on the commentary for Truth with John Glover and Allison Mack, as well as Memoria with Michael Rosenbaum. I just wish that we could have heard what it was like for Tom getting into the character. I don't really care about the special features all that much because I want the sets for the episodes themselves. But I was kind of looking forward to hearing what Tom had to say about Exile. Oh well, it is not that big of a deal, but it does bug me a little. I am just glad to finally have my favorite season of Smallville on DVD!

Check this out. I wrote Best Buy Customer Service and listen to this BS response.
Here's my letter:
I live in Tempe, AZ. On Sunday Best Buy ran an ad saying that on Tuesday you would be selling Smallville Season 3 along with an exclusive poster. When I came to the store the employees seemed puzzled when asked about the offer and then said the poster was supposed to be in the DVD box. I purchased the DVD''s but there was no poster inside. I called that store and every other local Best Buy store and no one gave the same answer. Some said they hadn''t recieved it, some said they were in the box but they couldn''t tell which ones had the posters and which didn''t, some said they sold them out. I was one of the first if not THE first person at the Chandler, AZ store to buy the set and I did not recieve a poster. Not only does this reflect bad on the store but it''s blatant false advertising. I saw the ad numerous places and should have recieved a poster being one of the first at the store. I''m writing this to make Best Buy mgmt aware of this poor marketing/ store communication situation and if possible would like to receive my poster either at a store or sent to me since none of the employees I talked to offered to contact me when/if they received the posters or do anything to fix the situation. Please contact me at my email address or phone number to let me know what Best Buy plans to do about this. Thank you.
And here's their vague response:
Kyle,
Thank you for contacting Best Buy about the Smallville Season 3 DVD. I'm Jen with Customer Care.
We appreciate your concern about the on-pack bonus poster. The bonus poster illustrated by Alex Ross was included in the DVD packaging. A minimum of 20 units including the bonus poster were available at the store. Although we strive to maintain appropriate merchandise levels, many circumstances, such as brisk sales or manufacturer distribution delays, may limit a product's availability. If advertised items are out of stock, stores may provide rainchecks unless special conditions apply. Rainchecks were not available for this product, and we are unable to provide the bonus poster. If you have further questions about this bonus, we encourage you to contact the Chandler store directly at 480-792-1680.
Thank you for sharing your comments with Best Buy. Please don't hesitate to contact us with additional questions or concerns.
Best wishes from Best Buy,
Jen and the Customer Care Team

Man, talk about a brush off.
First of all, I don't think they would put the posters inside the packaging because the offer was made specifically through Best Buy.
Secondly, even if that was true, you should have gotten one of the sets with the poster, because as you say you were one of the first ones there, if not the first one.
But I agree that it does sound like B.S. because as I said before, there is no way they would have the posters inside the sets when it was an offer given through Best Buy. They would have sent the posters seperately and have them there to hand out to people that bought the sets.
What a bunch of crap.

I laughed outloud at the bloopers (Gag Reel), but the second it was over, I asked outloud, "WHERE'S TOM?" I know that Michael is a funny guy and prone to making people laugh, he's a cut-up. But why focus the gag-reel on him alone? I know we saw a couple with the other cast members, but it seemed to focus more on him. I DID enjoy every one of them, but I was disappinted that Tom was not included in ANY of them.
I was also a bit shocked to notice that Michael has a bit of a potty mouth. They had to bleep him out a few times.

Here's my 2 cents on the season 3 dvd's...
1. Target was the only store that received their shipment of the product. After searching at 3 different stores I was a bit panicked.
Excellent job on "heroes behind the scene" segment. Good details, interesting and informative.
Negative on the commentaries. Allison and James did most of the talking and they didn't show their faces at all. Overall the commentaries were more chatty than discussing the episodes. What I'd really like is Tom and Michael doing a comentary about an episode where their characters have a significant arc (if it ever happens in season 4).
Gag reel was funny, but not as good as I expected. No Tom or Annette and only one shot of JS. We definately need a longer gag reel with outtakes from ALL cast members not just Michael.
Deleted scenes--could do without or at least less of them in exchange for cast interviews about their favorite scene or episode to shoot.
If I have to hear about "Lana and Clark's chemistry" one more time, I'm gonna scream!!! TPTB need to get it through their heads that these two do not have chemisty, are BORING to watch, and do nothing to promote Clark or Lex's journey!!!!

It did say "no rain checks", but a rain check would indicate that they "actually" had it in the first place.
I was also one of the first ones to buy this DVD set at the location here in Jackson, MS. None of the ones they had out had the "special packaging" bs that would indicate that they had the posters.

This is not the greatest thing Best Buy has ever done, but they didn't lose my business.
At least in my area, they are usually the best about stuff like this.
They have consistently cheaper prices on music and movies than other places(Circuit City) and are usually more helpful than they have been here recently.
I will just chalk it up to one of those freak things in life that is not fair.

A gag reel is a bonus feature on the DVD that shows outtakes from the show, people messing up their lines or acting silly, or just general mishaps (I'm speakin generally here, since I don't have my DVDs YET!!!)

I now believe this is a manufactured error and we may ALL suffer from it.
Whats up everyone? Just got Season 3 from Amazon - and of course am loving it... I haven't had chance to watch much yet - but I noticed something different with the background music/volume being significantly lower in a couple scenes than when it was originally broadcast.
The obvious difference for me was watching the opening scene in SLUMBER when R.E.M.'s Imitation of Life is playing in the background. I can hardly hear it! I actually still had this episode on TiVo so when I compared the two scenes one after the other - the difference was remarkable. I skipped to the end and the same thing occurred during the last scene with more R.E.M. background music.
Did anyone else notice this?
Not sure if this was re-edited on purpose, I have a bad disc, or what...
OneWayFilms (above) posted that "the top of the screen became distorted slightly" during the same scene. That did not happen to me - just the sound issues for me.

I have a feeling it might be black or gray and use the image of Clark and Lois from one of those season 4 promotional posters where Clark looks like he's flying and a smaller picture of Lois standing under him.
I feel confident though that Lois and Clark will on the cover no matter what.

After watching the season three DVD, are there any episodes you find yourself liking more than you did before? One episode that falls under that category for me is Extinction. I did not really care for Extinction, and the only reason the episode was saved for me was because of the emotional scene where Clark is shot. But, when I watched it on DVD, I found myself really liking the episode overall.
Another episode I really found myself liking was Velocity. I really can't understand why that episode has become so hated. I mean I always liked it before, but I found myself really enjoying it on DVD. The sidestory with the car racing did not bother me this time, and the episode does such a good job putting tension into Clark's friendship with Pete, and developing Pete's character.
However, Magentic and Resurrection still sucked hard.

I was wondering if anybody had this problem. After I picked Slumber and hit start it started at the second scene. I then went back and hit scene 1. It still did the same thing. It's really no big problem because I can just rewind it to the beginning of the episode, but I was just wondering if anybody had the same problem.

well during some of the commentaries, they mentioned some things that Tom did that could have gotten in the gag reel. When Kal was pushing Chloe to leave in Exile...they fell and he landed on her. And then in Truth when Pete kissed Chloe, Tom kept laughing. So, they could have found something.

He has plenty of humor, watch season 2's gag reel and listen to those commentaries. He has a very dry wit and a great Gollum impression. It really is a shame he didn't participate much at all in this set, but maybe that was his choice.

First, I want to thank Michael, Allison and John for agreeing to do the commentaries that they did for the set. I enjoy those features very much and appreciate the time they invested on our behalf to do them. Having said that, I was disappointed that MR seemed to be a bit muted in the presence of Al and Miles. Several times he started to make a comment only to be squelched by the creators. Al and Miles need their own commentary and the actors need their own commentary. I enjoy the freedom of expression the actors had on the second season, and feel they need the same latitude on this season's. JG seemed a bit hesitant to express himself on his commentary. He warmed up nicely near the end and then-it was over. Hopefully, he'll feel more at ease next time and let the chatterbox out. I'd love to hear him and Michael on one. Also, think that JS would really enjoy participating. Having heard him say he would like to be invited to conventions, I think he is fan oriented and would enjoy being included in the commentaries. I'm sorry TW opted out, but if he doesn' t enjoy doing it I do not want him to do so.
Second, This is the first set I have encountered problems after purchase. I bought it at a different store, but guess they are all pretty much the same, right? The backbone broke away from the second holder the first time I opened the set. I glued it back and hope it will stay. Made me wonder how my previous sets have endured the repeated opening and closing they have suffered.
I di not have the problem mentioned during Slumber, but twice I stopped the play and when I returned to it the disc went back to the opening credits rather than the point at which I had stopped. Whether this is the player or the disc I don't know, but have not had it happen on any other disc I have played except the third season Smallville.
Third, I am enjoying the episodes much more than I did on TV. They are much more beautiful on DVD and the sound is marvelous. I consider the sets well worth the investment and appreciate the hard work that went into producing the series and the set.

this was posted on k-site a few days ago:
The The Smallville Season 3 DVD is now available, and on the fifth disc you can find an easter egg featuring the Rosenclown himself, Michael Rosenbaum.
On the "easter egg" (which is what people call hidden stuff on a DVD) you can find a brief bit with Michael interviewing random members of the Smallville crew up in Vancouver.
Here's how you find it:
- Find where it says "Producing Smallville"
- Put your cursor right next to the word "Camera."
- Click right on your DVD remote's direction pad.
- You will see a Superman logo. Click on the logo. Enjoy!
