did anyone else notice that tom welling was not riding the horse during the opening scene? never a close up of his face and when paused you can tell it is not his body.look at the guys legs..also it was earlymorning when filmed and they state that they were out all afternoon

I noticed it was very hard to make out who exactly was on the horse behind Lana. Frankly I'm a little surprised. I ride horses and it is not difficult to do what that guy was doing. But whatever! Maybe TW was busy with the acting and stunts in this episode. Even if Clark is wasting his time riding horses with Lana, I suppose Tom Welling doesn't have to be. ;)

Yeah that was so not him.

I'm sure it has more to do with liability reasons than anything else. Even if Tom does a few of his own stunts, they're in a controlled enviroment.

Horses? Not always predictable.

He's said he can't ride a motorcycle. Maybe he can't ride a horse either.

good i don't want clark to be whitney any way. maybe that is how is going to get started as superman, the whole whitney plot. he will fight to save his world because that is what his dad did, maybe he'll find a kryptonian war medal.

I guess the problem that I had with that scene was that they had multiple shots of KK on the horse which made it stand out that TW wasn't shown. But whatever, TW apparently can't ride a horse so there's really nothing that could've been done.

Possibly. They had KK on the horse too though, so that makes me wonder. Either way, I don't really care. It made me do a double-take for about 2 seconds during the scene, then it was over. On a different show, it would bother me. On SV, you can sweep that under the carpet pretty easily. :)

Tom got to know Chris Reeve and perhaps thought it better not to take the risk. I would imagine a horse at full gallop in a rutty farm field could take a stumble. I for one am scared to death of horses having my closest friend losing two small children to them.

It may not have been Tom riding but it was mentioned a couple of years ago that he does know how to ride considering his wife works with horses and all.

He did ride a horse in season 1. :/

I was thinking about the same thing when he was riding the horse. I'm like that how christopher reeve got put into a wheelcahir. I don't think he was on that horse either and i don't blame him. I would'nt want to ride that thing. Did'nt Tom ride a motorcycle back in SC3 and SC2?

Exactly. They can't risk TW getting hurt, so if he's not an expert, they aren't gonna put him on a horse, especially not now. If he got hurt, the season would be over, since because of the strike they can't go in and make rewrites or changes to episodes to write around an injury.

I think TW wasn't on the horse because of time. He was shown on a horse in season one.

In Season 1 the horse was just walking. These horses were cantering. It's like the difference between being seen in the passenger seat of a car, and being seen actually driving a car.

He definitely wasn't riding on the horse due to liability reasons. It was nice to see KK riding since she looks so beauitful. :)
