Kryptonian Message

I don't know if anyone made the connection yet but when Lana threw Lex in the warehouse, there was a screen displaying a Kryptonian message. I went back to watch the episode and paused the picture to get a better look at it. I got a piece of paper and a pen and started to translate when I realized that it is the same message that Dr. Swann showed Clark back in season 2...

"This is Kal-El of Krypton, our infant son, our last hope. Please protect him and deliver him from evil. We will be with you, Kal-El, all the days of your life."

How did Lex get a hold of this message, and better yet, does he understand the message?

(BTW, I'm very exicted Brainiac back! lol)

Is that what it translated to? I wonder where Lex got it from. If he somehow stole it from Virgil Swann or if Brainiac shared that tidbit somehow...

I think Lionel is still working side by side with Lex.
It doesn't make sense that Lex would be privy to that info
without the help of someone else. Or maybe he aquired
Dr. Swann's info after he passed away. Maybe Lionel
got it for him. Some things just really make no sense at all.

My guess is they reused the old art and it was suppose to be from Kara's ship. It's very possible Lex "aquired" it from the now dead government guy.

Actually I think it ties back to that one episode... Didn't Virgil Swann, before he died, made a deal with Lionel Luthor in Legacy

From Smallville wiki...

"Lionel goes to visit Dr. Virgil Swann and asks him what he knows about the language on the walls of the cave. He offers to give Dr. Swann conservancy over the caves if he tells him what he knows. Dr. Swann lies and says that he does not know the language. Lionel tells him about the octagonal keyhole and his suspicion that Clark has the key. He asks Dr. Swann to talk with Clark. Dr. Swann correctly guesses that Lionel is dying and Lionel admits that he believes that whatever is in the caves will save his life. Dr. Swann agrees to help him."

Thanks, I'm kind of a geek about things like this. Anytime I see Kryptonian symbols on the show I try to translate it. The sad thing is I memorized the entire (official) Kryptonian alphabet, lol. If anybody wants to get some screenshots of the message I'll translate it and post the pictures on the board. I had to continue to pause it to make out the whole message. After awhile I was thinking to myself that this sounded similar so I went on the computer and sure enough it was the message back in season 2 that Swann showed Clark.

Not sure where Lex would have gotten that though - it was Braniac's ship that Lana displayed on the screen, not Clarks. And obviously Braniac wouldn't have had a message like that... Not that Lex ever opened it anyway.

I did notice this as well though and wondered why Lex would have a Kryptonian message. I figured that they hadn't worked out what it meant though.

I noticed that board too, playing the message! I geeked out right then. "That's the message that was playing in Dr. Swann's office! How'd Lex get hold of it?"

A nice touch but it would have been cool to have it mentioned in the ep.

I know wut the message says. I'll translate it for ya.
It says: "I am Jor-El, I am here to warn Lex Luthor to stop getting so obsessed with Kal-El. Kal-El is just a simple farmboy, I just had dinner w/ him and Martha the other nite in the farm. Martha made those tiny little baby baked potatoes, they taste sooooooo great. Awesome dude!"
