Wasn't it just a few episodes ago that Lois got hired? Now she's the star reporter according to Grant Gabriel. I think she's had one or two stories published and this one was pulled. I know she eventually becomes the star reporter but these writers seem to have sex on their minds and in one episode they have CK and Lana engaging in supersex while Lois gets to the top by making whoopee with her boss. Shallow.

He was trying to distract her with praise. You make the one that you are holding back think that you are letting them fly, with well placed distractions.

Exactly.
Glad I'm not the only one who thinks so.

He was trying to change the subject quickly enough before she'd catch onto him.
Seriously, some of you need to pay attention!

Looks like all Lois needs to become a legendary reporter is to have her ankles in the air.

That's the main point; in the same episode they have the man of steel acting like an irresponsible teenager (once again) and degrade the character of CK and now they are doing the same with Lois. She is supposed to be a hard working journalist not someone who went out and bought some artificial boobs and gets it on with the boss. I think Erica Durance was horribly miscast and now they are showing us why they cast her. Her looks not her talent.

Um...did you not, just 10 minutes ago, start a thread where you said that it's all an act because she knows that Grant's working for Lex.
Oh and I will kindly remind you that discussing actor's plastic surgery is against the rules of this site.

I didn't know that. Sorry.

Tom fits the typecast for Superman; from the comic books to the movies to TV. Lois Lane on the other hand, with the exception perhaps of Terri Hatcher was never a candidate for Playmate of the Month, at least from my perspective. My main point is that the writers are trying to sexify the entire show and it doesn't need it. Romance is fine but cheap, casual sex is not consistant with the character of Superman. That's just my take on it.

I like your thinking. I have described this version of lois as shallow on many occasions myself, I stand confirmed.

Another bit of thinking that I like, congrats.!

Yeah, that's what I got it from it, too.

I think Lois knows he's keeping the paper away from the Luthors and she's using him, not making whoopee. She's not stupid. She never has been. IMO.

I think she's already on to him. After his refusal to run the Luthor story she wrote, she said something like "I get it" or something like that and then made her move on him. He's a person of low character or he wouldn't be on the Luthor payroll so he's erasing the files but I'll bet she already has them copied. My money is on Lois

I think they made it pretty clear that she is not getting a lot of her stories published, despite Grant's interest in her, because he also has another agenda. He has used the 'star reporter' phrase a few times, and it is obviously not what he really believes, but an attempt to distract her as others have pointed out. Also, if she was his 'star reporter' than he would be actually publishing her articles frequently and she would already be out of the basement.
