LANA asked the question that most people have asked of superman:

HE IS AFRAID OF GETTING HIS HANDS DIRTY, and basically has been a participant in LEX"S killings .

SHE even added, that CK hides in SV while the rest of the world needs him.

HE IS PATHETIC!!!!!!!!!

I agree. I like Clark but he's not the bright bulb. Lex is a genius without powers.

Clark protects Lex while Lex kills people.

Also, Clark always gets close to Lex knowing he has kryptonite close by. This has always showed me that Clark is not very smart.

Lana was actually right. Clark essentially protects Lex than tries to stand on a high moral ground while Lex does his dirt.

yea so many characters now have told him to get out of the farm and save the world and he is still there.

So what do you suggest? Clark kills Lex or any other villian to save mankind? While I agree Clark needs to get the hell of the farm, he doesn't need to get his hands dirty to help people. That is lunacy.

When Lex causes situations that actively hurt people, Clark is there to rescue them. But to quote an earlier episode (as well as Superman II), Clark's greatest strngth is also his most powerful weakness...he cares. In the end, he'll always look for the best in everyone, no matter how destructive they are.

He's not afraid of getting his hands dirty. He has morals, and there is a huge difference. Clark's refusal to kill is what sets him apart from Lex. Lex will do anything to justify getting the ending he wants. Clark, regardless, recognizes he can't just take lives, even when people are bad. He's not judge, jury and executioner. I shudder when I think fo the world some people think we should be living in. If Clark kills someone like Lex for being evil, where does he then draw the line? That's the entire point. It's not up to Clark to decide who lives and dies. It's up to each person to accept their own actions and decisions, and live their lives as best they can.

I agree. That is why I have always loved Superman. Even though this is SV, and yada yada. Clark has (or should have) a higher moral standard than the rest. He does need to get off the farm, he does need to get out and help more, but getting dirty in the process. NO!

I think what Lana is saying, not necessarily have Clark kill Lex but put him to jail and make him pay for his crimes. Common, the evidence against Lex is as high as Mt. Everest and Clark knows this and yet he turns a blind eye on Lex's "hobbies".

Clark doesn't have to kill Lex, he just doesn't have to go out of his way to help him.

He goes out of the way to protect Lex when he's in trouble and he doesn't have to.

One of Superman's best qualities has always been his appreciation for human life and the fact that he doesn't want to kill. I felt that Lana's comments show just how completely obsessed she has become.

Solid arguments!! It is as if CK knows Lex will do harm in the future..and still CK believes lex is innocent. What arrogance!!

How many times has Lex done harm to other innocent people?? But this Episode was to SHOW HOW CK HAD DONE MORE HARM THEN LEX.

At least Lex is honest !!

So in superman lore does lex ever die or does superman ever kill anyone that is human?

Yeah, it's too bad he didn't leave the farm several seasons ago so that ungrateful b*tch would have bought it (the farm). Pun intended.

That one line was the most sickening line of the series. Worse than anything in Promise and worse than "I don't know how I could have ever loved you". Screw her.

He doesn't kill humans, though there were two occasions he did kill super villains. The pocket universe kryptonians, and Doomsday.

Lex does die once as well. He wore a Kryptonite ring, to keep Superman at bay, but eventually, the radiation from teh kryptonite gave him cancer, and he lost his hand, then died. However, not before cloning himself, and transferring his brain into the younger, more athletic body.

I think that's the thing with Lex Luthor II and Team Luthor. I have the comic where Supergirl teams up with Lex Luthor II.

What is Lex doing that is so bad? he is trying to save humanity which is what CK is supposed to be doing!!!!!!!!!!!

It's not that Lex is trying to save humanity, it's his way of going about it. Lex thinks the only way to save humanity, is to kill everything he views as a threat, and only Lex is qualified to judge what is and isn't a threat.
