I dun think that's Tom Welling riding a horse for sure (some random dude replacing him), but as of Clark Kent, where did he learn to ride that thing? And most importantly, Clark prolly weights a thousand tons, so its not possible for a horse to support that type of weight. :o

I looked closely the second time and that isn't Tom riding. More than likely not KK either because they have said in the out takes that she has a stunt double for the fast rides. Only one quick flash was of Lana but no close ups of Clark riding.
In very early episodes they had Lana Clark and Chloe riding together but very slowly.

Clark grew up on a farm all his life, I think he should be pretty aware on how to ride a horse. He's been shown to know how to ride one in past seasons.
As for Tom not riding, I wonder if it wasn't really him, just because Tom's wife rides so one would assume he does as well.
I know Kristin learned how to ride during her filming of Snow White and seems to still know how to, pretty darn well. As we seen in past episodes such as Red and now in this episode with the full shot of her seriously riding the horse.
I'm sure she wasn't racing the horse, but she seems to be able to ride it normally, not too slow and not too fast.
Because in Red she was going somewhat fast on that horse at the end.

I saw the scene on youtube with them riding horses and I have riden one alot faster then that not that it was really my choice (the horse I was on was chasing the girl horse in front of him) I have only riden a horse a couple times in my life it is not that hard it is mostly just holding on.

Hug was about a guy who could make you do what he wanted by just a handshake.
Chloe was great on the horse.

And Clark helped out Lana to prepare for her horseback riding competition, he blew off his Torch assignment because of it. I think it's in Lineage.

You´re right on both accounts. The Welling fans like me know very well that Tom and Jamie do a lot of horseback riding together. If it wasn´t Tom on the horse, then they did not let him do it. In one of the commentaries (Red?) they said they won´t even let him ride a motor bike. So all we got was the very slow riding in Hug.

It wasn't they wouldn't let him, it's because he doesn't know how to ride a motorcycle.

For some reason when I watched that scene, I inmediately thought of a Tampon commercial. I'm sorry, but the slow riding with cheesy music in the background...

And most importantly, Clark prolly weights a thousand tons, so its not possible for a horse to support that type of weight. That makes no sense, if you followed that logic, he would not be able to drive or ride in a car. Clark has lived on a farm for a long time, and has been shown taken care of horses in the past, so it makes sense that he would know how to ride a horse.

I think Clark weighs the same as a normal guy his age, doesn't he? I don't think Kryptonians are different in the weight area.
Plus, Clark grew up on a farm since he was three. I hope to god he knows how to ride.

yeah, it avoiding showing him on the horse. but i remember back in season 1 he was on a horse in the episode with the handshake guys. I think the clark riding the horse had red and blue on and the actual clark shot it had him wearing blue and white.

It wouldn't be surprising for somebody who grew up in rural Kansas to know how to ride a horse. I also wouldn't be surprised if Tom Welling himself knows how to ride very well, but the producers wouldn't let him because they don't want to be responsible for another Chris Reeve situation or something similiar. Their insurance is high enough as it is without putting their star into unnecessary danger.

Clark wouldn't weigh a thousand tons, he'd weigh a human weight I'm sure. Ive never seen him on a horse either, it was obviously a double.

I think you wanted to quote someone else. Or you just wanted the opportunity to insult me.
I said Clark weighs 225. POUNDS. Not tons.

Both Kristen and Tom may well be able to ride horses well, but the insurance company for the show would probably not allow the show to let them do a scene with horses going that fast.

Both Tom and Jamie ride that was stated if I remember right in a S1 or S2 interview.
Plus Clark weights the equivalent of the atomic weight of the element Krypton which I think is some were around 225#.
Take care,
Jack

Clark and Lana have been riding horses since season 1. The horse Clark was riding is named Donatello and he used to be Lana's. She needed a stable to put the horse and the Kent's let her use their farm. I guess she forgot all about him for several seasons. *L*

Those were stunt doubles; they wouldn't risk their stars and the insurance company would never allow it. We know he can't ride the motorcycle due to insurance restrictions and that makes sense. Actually, he was on a horse in season one in the ep called Hug with Kyle tippett where Lana, Clark and Chloe go riding in the woods. But a lady who rides said the horse he was on looked really old and was probably quite docile so they chanced it. Riding full speed would be out of the question, Believe me, riding fast can lead to falling off, being dragged and breaking things like tailbones; I learned the hard way. But Clark, living on a farm where they have horses would naturally know how to ride. For that matter, he's undoubtedly know how to skate (frozen ponds if nothing else) but that's another inconsistency.
As for Clark, he's not been portrayed as super heavy though he might possibly assume he's a bit heavier than other men his size, coming from what I recall was a high gravity planet. Originally, his flying ability was supposedly due to hEarth having a lighter gravity field but now it's explained a little differntly I think. Super heavy is not part of the mythos as far as I can recall. Although especially after this ep, it's obvious Clark is indeed Superdense.
