We know he's going to come back in January, but it seems the brain interactive construct has been mutated slightly since you saw the lab tech's eyes turn black when she touched the ooze. Is this how one of Superman's greatest adversaries reconstitutes himself?

Is this how one of Superman's greatest adversaries reconstitutes himself?Didn't Jor-El tell Martha (back in the episode "Zod") that Clark destroyed all the Brainiacs when he plunged the kryptonian dagger into Professor Fine?? Hmm....

Brainiac needs to come and spice things up asap.

If it is Fine than why would Kryptonite affect him? Last I checked he was amune to it.

That's true! Maybe it's a different Kryptonian?

I was thinking to myself, Milton Fine held a piece of Kryptonite. This black liquid was "in check" by the Kryptonite. What shoddy writing.

Maybe it was the Venom symbiote!

>_>
<_<

Maybe it was the metal in the kryptonite that was doing it. <_<

Maybe the kryptonite affected Brainiac because he was in a weakened state, he is just developing back up and all.

If you listen to dialog they said Meteor rock and radiation... my guess the radiation is changing the way the Kryptonite is affecting the weakened Brainiac

Strange green K did glow when Lex tried to use it on him. It just did'nt weaken him. Probably because he's not a living thing. Wonder if a kryptonain dog or cat would be weak to green K

No no, you see! Then we can't call it "shoddy writing" and all get our jollies complaining about something so inconsequential!

Seriously, though, I agree with you, it is likely the combination of radiation and kryptonite keeping it in check. They've had it for a long time, obviously, so I'm sure they've experimented on it quite a bit to find how to keep it from getting out.

yea we do know it is brainiac since lex stated it is the dust from the black box which was part of the ship which was part of brainiac. As others have said since he is in a weakened state that is probably why the kryptonite was affecting him.

Theres no doubt the black ooze is Brainiac. They even said it came from Brainiacs ship, so there ya go : )

Brainiac is coming, and man, he's so needed on the show right now. He might spice things up a bit, cause I found myself yawning during the most part of this episode.

I haven't read any spoilers on it, so please refrain from saying.....
but I sure hope they don't have somebody new playing Braniac, like Heroes did with Candice. :\

They said it turned to liquid after they put it in the container. So maybe the kryptonite actually restored it/him to liquid. Maybe he can get power from it like Bizarro. Just not enough to bust out of the radiation saturated container.

Scion is: 1 : a detached living portion of a plant joined to a stock in grafting...2 : descendant, child.

So, are we seeing branch of Brainiac or son of Brainiac? And if Brainiac is a branch, did we see him graft on to the lab tech?

Brainiac is NOT affected by green kryptonite. That's all there is to it. The ships, on the other hand, have displayed a weakness to it, haven't they?

So, that black stuff is NOT the Brainiac we know. Oh, it would be cool if it turned out to be the Eradicator!

its pretty obvious its him, lex pretty much said it was from milton fines ship and it looks a hell of alike him in liquid form

think it could be an exstention of brainiac ya know? not the original but some traits are the same....well see
